I purchased a SunJoe Pressure washer earlier this year and it worked great and did everything I needed it to flawlessly. I needed a small chainsaw for some light household duty. I found this one by SunJoe and read some reviews on it so I decided to give it a try. After about 6 hours of use I can honestly say that the only drawbacks was my inexperience becauseI have never used a chainsaw. Fortunately I have a very steep learning curve so within a few tries I became a pro. I have read the other reviews and I’ll tell you the secrets. 1. Let the tool do the work (Don’t try to force it) 2. Take your time (rushing will cause the chain to come off) 3. Wear Eye and Hand protection (non negotiable) 4. I had higher hopes for this product. I am an accomplished chainsaw operator. I have done tree work many times in my life as a paid job profession. I have experience with different gas and electric brands. I also worked as a lawn and garden professional sales associate at Home Depot. I did everything you are supposed to do. I added the oil before starting. I let the chain get lubed before cutting. I left a little slack in the chain so it wouldn’t overheat and lock up. This is a nice little chainsaw and will cut big limbs with a little effort. Beware it will get stuck if you don't do the bigger limbs right. Be careful, because it runs a good full 4 seconds after stopping. I almost made a huge error and it would be easy to relax your arm after cutting and slice your leg. But easy set up. This electric chainsaw performed exactly as advertised and was simple to put together. I cut through at the base of the tree which was10 to 12 inches. Then cut the entire tree into pieces for removal in less than an hour. Let the saw do the work and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Neat little chainsaw. Easy to assemble and light enough. Haven't tackled any large trees yet, but does a number on the smaller ones I have tried (3-6 inch) ...disclaimer: if you are used to a gas chainsaw this is going to be a culture shock, if you go in with the proper mindset that it IS an electric chainsaw this is a nice little tool for around the yard. ... show more

Needed to remove a cherry tree at the corner of my lot and had to drop it in the 3 feet between my neighbour's fence and my workshop. Spend couple hundred for a guy to do it or $50 for the saw and have it for future use. Worked fantastic. Dropped it exactly where I needed to. People complain about chain oil drip. That's because the chain is oiled by "seeping" on to the chain. SUNJOE says take it out after use. Or store it with the blade pointing up. People complain about chain getting loose. Ahhh...well folks...that's part of running a chain saw. That's why they send a tool to loosen the nut, tighten the chain and tighten the nut. ... show more

As someone who has never operated a chain saw before, I looked up “light-duty” chain saws to clear some small trees from our newly purchased home. It worked great for a few trees. When I say “small tree” I mean 4-5 inches MAX. It worked for a few then the chain started snapping off. Ok, must not have put everything together right. Took it apart, put it back together, snapped off again. I went thru this about 5-6 times before I got annoyed and went to Lowe’s to buy another chainsaw. I’m returning this one because while it was great while it lasted, it didn’t last! ... show more
