  • Really good for what it is
Style: Kit (w/ (2x) 2.0-Ah Batteries + Charger) Size: Tiller + Cultivator, 14-Inch Tilling Width
It's not really a tiller per se, more cultivator, or at least somewhere in the middle. It will not break ground, it can't cut sod, far too light and not sharp enough. I tried to see if with enough time it could get through virgin sod but it just couldn't in any reasonable time frame. But for broken ground it does a great job. Tills plenty deep for any gardening, busts up dense hard packed soil at depth that's full of rocks. Battery lasts impressively long and charges impressively fast, and I'm comparing to Ryobi 40v tools. Maybe it helps that there are two instead of all being in one, no idea, just impressed. Can easily till an established 900 sq ft garden (with paths between rows not being tilled) on one charge. Handles VERY well given the wide grip, that's the best part of the thing really. The wheels that flip back so you can till full depth without needing to push it down is great. Only issue I have is the power button sticks so it won't always turn off when you release which is a hazard, maybe mine has a defect. Have to wiggle it to get it to pop and shut off. So, can't break ground, but after that it's exactly what I needed. ... show more

  • Weak Batteries
Style: Kit (w/ (2x) 2.0-Ah Batteries + Charger) Size: Tiller + Cultivator, 14-Inch Tilling Width
Got this tiller 2 days ago for my wife. Continuation of replacing small gas motor tools. My wife is an avid gardener and has two fenced 16 x 16' raised beds. We had cleared about 3/4 of one of the beds to plant the early fall garden. it is dry but the beds are largely compost. The tiller performed fairly well working down to 3.5 inches with a modest amount of effort to allow the coming rain to penetrate so I can till again. It did about what I expected but I was surprised to see the batteries were exhausted after this amount of work. It isn't a deal killer since I did about the most I would ever do in a session but still, pretty weak compared to other battery powered tools. I would still buy it and would recommend to a friend. ... show more

  • Worked better than expected
Style: Kit (w/2.0-Ah Battery + Charger) Size: Tiller + Weeder, .9-Inch Tilling Width
I am creating shallow ditches around my house to keep my soaker hoses below the surface. Bought this tool to dig the ditches. Initially a little disappointed at the low RPM. Didn't think it would work well in Texas clay. Found if I watered the soil and let dry a day this tool did a good job digging a narrow 3" deep trench. It cut through light grass. In areas of higher grass I weed whacked first than used the tool. Battery life was very good. Only issue I had was when it hit long stringers of our St. Augustine grass. The stringers wrapped around the wheel and I had to take off the wheel to remove them. Roots also stopped it. Overall quite satisfied with the tool. ... show more

  • Tough little machine, recommend for small gardens.
Style: Kit (w/ (2x) 2.0-Ah Batteries + Charger) Size: Tiller + Cultivator, 14-Inch Tilling Width
I absolutely beat on this thing for 3 days in the heat and it handled it. Once I got through the grass layer and cleaned that up I went to work on the dirt itself and this thing dug in and got the job done. I would get about 45 mins of run time and an hour of charge so I got more batteries. But during the charge I had time to clean up the grass I had to break through. ... show more

  • Baby-trencher!
Style: Kit (w/2.0-Ah Battery + Charger) Size: Tiller + Weeder, .9-Inch Tilling Width
Perfect to make little 'trenches' for poor mans irrigation. Running 1/2” poly line all over with zones sprinklers timed right for the areas saves thousands vs digging up the yard, but still left with hundreds of feet of black pipe to cover along the perimeter. Thought about slowly transitioning to flostline depth real irrigation, then stumbled on this gem. Couldn't recommend as a replacement for a tiller, not designed for that. But the narrow width and electric motor torque is perfect for a couple inch tiny trench for irrigation, landscape border, etc. Hit a rock and it's so light it'll just bounce out. For the price, worth it and worth tucking away for another project later ... show more

  • Weed control
Style: Kit (w/ (2x) 2.0-Ah Batteries + Charger) Size: Tiller + Cultivator, 14-Inch Tilling Width
Great little tiller for weeding the garden. NOT recommended for deep tilling as it is light weight but does a great job cutting 2 to 3 inches into dirt that has already been prepped. Not heavy enough to be very effective on virgin ground. Batteries hold up as advertised and easy to takeoff and recharge. Probably not best for rocky soil due to the clearance between the tines and the dirt shield. Have had small stones hang and lock the tines but easily removed with a hammer to free it up.(note: stones probably jammed due to me pulling the tiller backwards down the rows for more control.) Great for weed control in the garden rows and I would buy it again for that purpose. ... show more

  • works fine for light work
Style: Kit (w/ (2x) 2.0-Ah Batteries + Charger) Size: Tiller + Cultivator, 14-Inch Tilling Width
I have a gas tiller also but it is sometimes very hard to start. This work good for light tilling. The one thing I wish is that the blades were held on with a cotter pin as the gas power one is, If you get weeds wound around the blades it would be easy to pull off the blades and remove whatever is wound around it. It tills mush better after a rain ... show more

  • It is what it is.
Style: Kit (w/ (2x) 2.0-Ah Batteries + Charger) Size: Tiller + Cultivator, 14-Inch Tilling Width
If you have ANY grass where you where you want to trill look for something else! I had a missing bolt so off to the Headwear store I went. I think this will be okay once your ground is already prepared. Like everything electric it just doesn't have the power to do the job that is needed.
