The battery lasts about 25-30 minutes on full power. Don't expect to get a large job done on one charge. It is far easier than managing an electric cord. You just have to be reasonable in what you can expect to get done in that 25-30 minutes of charge that you start off with; after about 15 minutes of blowing I make sure to suction up the pile. It’s a bit heavy and clumsy. On full power it sucks up the leaves very slowly. If small twigs enter , it handles them and it also sounds like the old slot machines in Vegas. I try to go easy on the wheels because I can see they are of cheap plastic. The opposite blower end isn’t good. It need a funnel tip for more direct air stream . This is like a wide mouth breath. Not to good. Over all it’s ok but not for big jobs. It takes 2 batteries, and using the 5.0 made it even heavier. ... show more

It’s nice that they combined the vacuum with the blower, but this model is much more difficult to handle even with the wheels. There’s no place to grab like the original model ion BV. It’s pretty awkward. I am trying to figure out how to fix my original model or attach a handle somehow to this one. As of May 20th, my month was up to return this product, but considering ALL the purchases that I’ve made throughout the years with Amazon I would like to think that AMAZON “would do the right thing” and allow me to return the product and get a full refund put back on my AE. ... show more

I just picked this up as new, and Immediately assembled it. (I've been waiting a looong time to find a decent no corded leaf vacuum) I can say I am impressed as I put this through a full 30 - 32 minutes of run time, with a trip of at least twice to empty the bag of heavy New York leaf piles I have on my driveway. I didn't get a chance to use it as a blower, as I was more fixated on getting leaves off my driveway then just blowing them around at the time. ... show more

    • Terrible company to deal with!
I purchased this product, and it did not work AT ALL! I contacted the manufacturer to return the item, and they would only allow an exchange. The exchange did not work either. Finally, Sun Joe agreed to provide a refund for the item once the exchange was returned. Two months go by and no refund. I contact the company and they tell me that I had to call them to get my refund. 🤬 At this point, I’m asking why didn’t anyone give me this instructions. This information was not in any of the email correspondence or ever shared over the phone. This item was purchased in September 2022, returned (the 2nd unit) in December 2022, and I spoke them in December. They told me that the check would be processed and sent out to my shipping address within 6 weeks. It is now February 2023. I called and they stated they are still working on the refund after leaving me on hold for a total of 17 minutes of the 24 minute call to tell me that I will receive the check within 6 weeks. IF I COULD LEAVE 0 STARS I DEFINITELY WOULD! ... show more
