Did a lot of research on battery powered blowers. Finally decided on DeWalt primarily due to the fact I have a lot of DeWalt battery powered tools and for my feeling that DeWalt generally has high quality equipment and stands behind their products. I’m very pleased with this unit. I have a gas powered Stihl blower that I use a lot for blowing sand/dirt/leaves/etc. off driveway. Wanted this DeWalt primarily for blowing out shop area after grinding metal/sawing wood/sanding/etc. It easily handles that task and I now find I use it for most all my needs except for the heaviest materials like piles of dirt or gravel. The nozzle is a bit larger opening, but it has great force, is light weight, easy to use and the battery life is great. I have used all sizes of battery below the 5.0 Ah. They all work well, just don’t last as long. Even the smallest battery allows me plenty of charge to blow out the shop floor (38’x38’). The straight thru flow of air from rear to front makes a lot of sense and is said to cut down on some of the moving parts required in other blowers that wear out/break/etc. This product exceeded my expectations. It does cost more than many “similar” type units, but you definitely get what you pay for...in my opinion it is a very good value, especially if you alread have DeWalt batteries. ... show more

Ok I just received this 3/5/24 I charged the battery all the way and used it 3 cars to blow water off and on rims and grills. The 20v 5 hour battery that came with it died. I put in a fully charged 20 v 2 hr battery and it killed that 1 in 4 minutes. I'm going to charge them again and give her another shot. I has good power when a fresh battery is put in on it but after a few minutes it kills the battery so far not impressed. May have to return. I am adding to my first review. I purchased a 2nd 20v 5AH battery. When it came in it had 1 bar on the battery life indicator. I charged it and it showed charged in 20 minutes. That didn't seem right so I took it off the charger and reinsert it and the indicator showed it wasnt charged yet. I left it longer and it fully charged later. I did the same to the first battery and it made a difference. The batteries are lasting longer and the blower itself is working as advertised and I am giving it a much deserved 5 stars now. I actually don't believe in giving a great review within a week of receiving a product. It takes a bit to make sure it works correctly to give a good review. This is a good product in my opinion noe that I have used it worked out the kinks. ... show more

My wife wanted one of these because I was down and out following a knee replacement. So, this was hers and she loves it. It's good for the garage and driveway but battery power is very limited (but that's why it's so lightweight)! We chose this model because we had two other Dewalt battery operated tools with the same battery. Glad we did because we can use the other two batteries during peak leaf blowing season. Note, we still have a massive gas powered Stihl blower for the rest of the yard (acres) that need blowing. Machine is dependable and so very easy to move around. It just can't do everything unless you have a very small yard footprint that needs blowing. ... show more

This DeWalt battery-powered blower is seriously impressive. Tons of power, lightweight, and so easy to grab for quick clean-ups. It’s quickly become my go-to tool for the yard. I even bought a second one as a gift for my dad, who used to swear by his gas blower. He didn’t think an electric could match the power — but after using this, he actually got rid of his gas blower entirely.
