With everything going on in 2020 I did not want summer to be ruined for my kids (and me). We have a great big backyard but no pool unfortunately and even if public pools were to reopen I would not feel safe using these facilities for a while. This is my first time purchasing a pool and I am very fond of this one. I absolutely love that it has a filter and the only thing I had to purchase was chlorine (and a tarp to place over the pool which is completely optional). Setup was a breeze and what I love about these pools is that they fit the whole family. Definitely larger that I expected which was a plus. The only complaint I had was the setup for the ladder was a bit tedious and frustrating but my persistent children stayed out in the sun till they figured it out. We purchased this on June 25, set it up on June 26 which was very easy to do. After putting the initial amount of liquid chlorine in the pool we could finally use it on June 27. We used the pool for 3 days before algae started appearing in the pool. Cleaned the pool walls and added chemicals to kill the algae and waited 24 hours to use again. In addition to adding liquid chlorine daily we also had a floating chlorinator in the pool. We had another two days to use the pool and then the cycle started all over again! During this time the top ring kept deflating causing us to loose water and the pump kept kicking itself off. The GFCI plug on our house wasn’t tripping just the filter plug. The primary problem with this pool is the pump/filter that comes with it simply isn’t big enough for the pool. It does not circulate all the water in a 24 hr period which allows the algae to start growing no matter how much chemical you add to stop it. Additionally, if you are looking for one to be 36” deep, this is not what you want. With the way the sidewalls bulge out at the bottom, you end up with only about 30” of depth in the pool. Thankfully, due to pump failure and inability to actually use the pool Amazon did let us return the pool for a full refund. We just had to pay for approximately 4000 gallons of water that we really didn’t get to enjoy. Now I know to get a framed pool for depth and to check the pump size for filtration before buying another pool! Additional note, if you want to add sprayers to the pool to help keep it cool, you can not add those to this hose system either because of how the outlet valve is made. We bought this knowing that we wouldn't put it on grass or sand. We have it in our covered screened patio on concrete flooring. It was simple to put up, you just fill it up with water and inflate the top, which took a fem minutes. As the water filled the pool and we could straighten out the floor, it became increasingly harder to do so, without causing wrinkles across the opposite side, so we eventually stopped and just let the water sort of straighten out the wrinkles on its own and that seemed to work. However, once the pool was filled, which took about eight hours, we noticed a small amount of water coming out from under the pool. Now mind you, not enough to make us pull the plug and try and find the hole, but it is definitely leaking somewhere. I opted not to release the water and try and find the hole, cause I can live with the small amount that is coming from under the pool. The ladder was a bit of a challenge. The filter system was easy as pie, just plug and leave it. So far, I am very happy with our pool and it is deep enough that my wife and I can sit on the floor and cover most of our body to stay cool. I wouldn't recommend putting this pool up in grass or on sand, only because keeping perfectly straight would be the biggest obstacle. However, if you are prepared to level the sand area, I would say you can achieve a stable pool. If I had to purchase this pool again or recommend it, I would. With that being said, we have only had it less than a week, so perhaps as time presses on and season goes into full swing, and the use increases, I might amend this review. ... show more

    • So good that now I have to have a pool every summer and I don't know how I feel about that.

This pool is so ridiculously good that now I am stuck with having a pool for the kids every summer because it works so well and won't get a hole. I have an 8-year-old, a 6-year-old, and a 4-year-old and they spend hours in this every day. Their swim teacher says they are improving in their swimming every week and I don't know how because it is only 15 feet across, but again, yet another reason why I have to have this every stinkin' summer now. I used the Intex filter from last year's 10-foot pool instead of the one that came with it. You will need to add stuff to your water regularly for this size of the pool, but if you take a cup of your pool water into any pool shop they will get you set up with ingredients and a routine and you don't have to invest your intelligence into it. Also, get a pool cover and skimmer net right away. I hate doing all this but even I have to admit that there is a certain satisfaction about accomplishing clear and fresh-smelling water even after months of use. Let me also fill you in on the final tip. Tell the kids that pool time is parent time and they just simply are to show only each other their impressive breath holding, floating, mermaid imitation, and dolphin leaps. They aren't allowed to say. "Mom mom mom mom look at this!" except at strictly designated intervals between cups of your chilled beverage. This almost makes it worth it. ... show more

The pool itself is fine. The pump however is worthless. once you open it to change the filter it will never seal again and will always leak even when on.

    • Quick and easy pool

This pool is super easy to install. Spread it out on leveled, cleared land (we put a tarp underneath). Blow up the outer ring and fill with water. The 36 inch height is great for little ones as I got it for my grandchildren to play in. The pump is small but works adequately.
