There has been some bad reviews on this, but I haven't had any problems with it. Yes it'll go out of tune every so often, but I have been able to play it once the strings stretched out. The gig bag is really cheap, but it'll keep the dust off of it. I like it.

I got these as a gift for my neices. As an avid musician i wanted to test them out and break in the strings so they would stay in tune before Christmas. As expected the nylon strings took forever to hold a tune, but once stretched they stayed in tune. As an adult and musician I had a lot of fun playing. I played several chords and the intonation was good. I was actually surprised by the ring the body gave the notes. As an adult it was hard to fit my fingers on the fretboard for some notes, but thats to be expected for a soprano ukulele. These are a great option for a first time ukulele, or first instrument. Especially for the price.

Bought this for my Granddaughter who had a great first grade and is finishing it soon. She has indicated, more than once, her desire to have a ukulele. So I bought it, opened it up to tune it and check it out. It’s not bad for the price. Once the strings are stretched properly it should hold a tuning and make some music. It sounds like it has a good tone and the neck and frets are solid so I give it a go. Especially for a beginner. The light blue color is great.

Hate to leave such a cruddy review. Guess it depends on what it is you're looking for. Having instruments in my collection that range from $230 - $2500++... This thing is more of a "toy" than instrument. If you're looking to hand it to a 4-year-old to see if they keep interest in it without going too steep in price while not caring if they smash it into pieces. Then yeah, it's perfect. 30 bucks, why not... People looking for a cheaper Uku and actually wanting to acquire an instrument into their collection upon purchase, I'd say double up on the price and pick up an Enya which also comes in a bunch of colors. Those are hard to beat for the cheap price tag while also carrying a musical tune. I know a lot of individuals that speak highly of theirs, mainly that the quality succeeds the price. Does it sound as good as a $500 - $1,000 Uku? definitely not, but... For $50 - $65 for 21" model, think you'll be hard pressed to find something to complain about as I have yet to hear anyone complain about theirs. As for this thing, it's a fun a little toy that makes noise. My little ones have fun playing with it. So, ain't all that bad. Is it a beginner stage Uku like the title states? IMO that's a negative. Newbies in the reviews seem to love it, so... Guess it's all about perspective.

The media could not be loaded. I had bought a cheap plastic guitar for my six year old granddaughter. Her mother said she played that thing until the strings broke! I bought this for her next learning experience. I do not know anything about the ukulele. I do know that this seems to be fairly well made. There are no surface flaws and it has a decent sound. I’m sure my granddaughter, and her mother, will love it!
