Don’t expect this set to have everything your vehicle may need to dislocate ball joints. I have put this kit through hell doing one complete job of both control arms, parts I removed were the original ball joints and bushings that were seized in this 26 year old vehicle. I have bent and dislocated the drive shaft anchor of this tool and had to fabricate one receiver ( the biggest one) to not harm my control arm. This set is tough and with a few modifications it will be fine for some more abuse.

The tool did the job, but during the process of removing one stubborn ball joint, the corkscrew portion bent fairly easily.

The manly C-clamp that is part of the kit allowed me to change several U-joints in a small fraction of time it would normally take. Also, it is big enough to successfully attempt bigger pressing jobs, like radius arm bushings in Land Rovers.

It works for my 2020 F350 Super Duty trac bar ball joint after some modifications

Combined with the Powerbuilt Honda lower ball joint adapter kit, I was able to replace my 94 Civic ball joints without any issues. All the adapters that came with the tool were way way too big, but the press is super sturdy and well made. For this price, I expected a bumpy ride. I didn't find one.

As the title states, I’m glad I bought this. Normally this tool is rented from your local hardware chain store. This tools has been extremely useful in my arsenal of tools to turn to when I need to just make things work or force something into place. I’ve used this to press out frame rivets and even helped me install my truck shocks into its lower mount when it was too tight to get in with a mallet or dead low hammer. It’s been more useful than I thought and had easily paid for itself.
