abunda_amazon_reviews This will cure your plantar faciatis. I had a bad case in my left foot. Pretty much put a stop to my running hobby for 6 months. Tried shoe inserts, foot support socks, stretching, and finally a cortisone shot from my local doctor. Nothing really worked. I had continual pain, and running more than a mile was out of the question. Saw this night splint on Amazon, but resisted buying it because it looked so seriously goofy. Finally relented and bought it, however, on advice on runner friends and because I was desperate for relief. Wow, what a good idea that was. This thing is not as big and heavy as it looks in the photos. It is pretty easy to put on, and yes you can get a good night's sleep in it. And boy does it work. Within 48 hours, my plantar faciatis began to subside. Within a week, I was back to running 3 miles every other day. I am still wearing this at night, and I will until all traces of this malady are gone. But, if you are a plantar facitatis sufferer, just buy this thing and try it out. You will not be disappointed, believe me.;;Reviewed in the United States on December 18, 2016;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Cures plantar faciatis;;Phronesis;;/gp/customer-reviews/R1TKJT4GALBSFX/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B01HR0WRC4;;;I purchased this after reading positive reviews. I have had 3 surgeries to alleviate the PF that I have experienced over the span of 30 years. Years and years of tennis and running as well as inferior shoes have taken their toll. I initially tried this a few nights after receiving it. Many straps and adjustments to contend with. A bit cumbersome at night and after 4 nights, in the corner it went. Since then I have purchased a strap brace, in the corner, compression socks, in the corner, a competitors soft sock/strap, yep, in the corner and a few more pair of orthotics which also ended up in the corner with the other 5 pair. After spending a couple of hundred dollars on all of this since the purchase of this brace, I decided to give the splint another try. The key here is persistence and patience. The wedges that are included are a must addition for proper fit. The side straps also needed to be adjusted as to not pull the foot past 90 degrees or numbing will result. Finally, the 3 cross straps must be adjusted not tighter than snug. Over tightening will also result in numbing and tingling of the foot as the night progresses. I have also found that wearing a long sock makes it a bit more comfortable. Use this religiously and don't give up on it. I now run a couple of miles a day, wear this splint at night and my foot is without pain the next morning.;;Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2017;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Was not love at first sight, but..;;Suzan Bzdick;;/gp/customer-reviews/R3NXOK0SM85RZE/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B01HR0WRC4;;;I seldom review products on the Internet, but I felt compelled to review this one. I am a physician and I have had plantar fasciitis now for over a year. 30 years ago while playing basketball in college, I had a plantar fascia rupture from a steroid injection, so that really has not been an option (nor what I necessarily recommend that for patients initially). Over the last year I have tried other night splints, anti-inflammatories, massage and daily stretching, taping, icing, silicone heel cups, over-the-counter and expensive custom orthotics, and all of the standard therapies with persistent symptoms. I have had significant problems with the other knee so I avoided a walking cast or a cam boot - although that does help significantly for a large number of patients. It has been bad enough that I actually had seen an orthopedic colleague to consider a Strayer procedure, which releases tension on the gastrocnemius or posterior ankle tendon. I saw this online and decided to try it for $30. I have been extraordinarily impressed. For this cost, the construction is much better than I had anticipated, and notably better than anything I have found in a drugstore. Since many patients have a fairly high deductible for major medical and orthopedic devices under their insurance, I would consider this a very reasonable option compared to other braces available through DME suppliers. The two things that I like about it the best it are that it seems to be extremely adjustable. There are two wedges that can be placed under the footpad to actually dorsiflex the foot more than 90°, which a lot of other braces do not offer. This allows for gradual extreme stretching of the heel cord. It is really designed as a night splint and not a walking splint, but I was quite impressed with the footpad which is actually very soft and comfortable with limited walking some around in the house, getting up in the middle of the night etc. The straps seem very secure - my only complaint is that I am concerned that the top strap with the padding will not tighten to the leg fully if one has fairly skinny legs, but that may actually be a plus because it offers a just a little bit of mobility and dorsiflexion with walking with limiting plantar flexion - all that seems to make it a little bit easier to walk in the device. It actually is not very bulky in my opinion and fairly comfortable -even was sleeping. Of note, I never expected this to fit my size 16/17 foot. I ordered the XL & my toe comes a half an inch to an inch from the end of the padding and just to the end of the plastic base. What a surprise. After three weeks of wearing this every night and around the house, I can say that my pain is markedly better and for now I have opted not to proceed with surgery. In addition, I received a very nice email from the manufacturer with instructions on how to use the wedges and assurance that they emphasize customer service. I have not had the opportunity or need to contact them, but I’ve also not received a follow-up email from a manufacturer like that before with an Amazon purchase. I have been so impressed with this that I have actually recommended it to patients and with limited feedback, they seem to have been very pleased and found it to be helpful. Plantar fasciitis is a common and very annoying problem and I certainly think trying this for $30 or so is a reasonable investment.;;Reviewed in the United States on April 8, 2017;;5.0 out of 5 stars;;Great product, recommended to my patients;;Big Al;;/gp/customer-reviews/R3VZOP24UO73W4/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B01HR0WRC4;;;I rarely write reviews but I have been suffering progressively with plantars fasciitis for 8 months. IT WORKS! Get RELIEF after 1 night!!!
I rarely write reviews but I have been suffering progressively with plantars fasciitis for 8 months. My job requires me to be on my feet for most of the day and it’s gotten so bad that in addition to seeing a PT I invested big money into orthopedic shoes to include dress sandals, slippers, house shoes, and inserts. There is not a moment where my feet are not in an orthopedic shoe. This investment has cost me $600! 😩 I also bought the power stretch, theraband and use a frozen water bottle to reduce the inflammation to include a variety of other stretches and I do this 3x a day to just help alleviate some pain. I could barely sleep because my foot hurt from it not being supported. This is what lead me to the boot. I wore it for the first time last night and my foot was KILLING me. I honestly was in a such a bad mood cause my foot hurt I almost didn’t want to try it cause I was a worried it may be too good to be true. I’m so glad I did! It was easy with the instructions to put it on. Once I got it on I adjusted the straps and fell asleep. There were times I forgot it was on while sleeping and tried to cross my booted leg over my other leg - Not comfortable! But I just need to get used it. I woke up and I wasn’t really expecting anything but I took it off and when I took my first step (without orthopedic house slippers) there was NO pain!!! I couldn’t believe it. For months I have started my mornings suffering that painful first steps. Well, not today! I’m so glad I found this product. I got the best sleep in a long time and I didn’t wake up in pain - THANK YOU!!! I will still continue to do my stretches and PT but this has been a great investment to healing my PF. Go and buy it now! Get relief NOW!
