  • Outstanding! I have tried other splints, and this is the best!
Size: Large Color: Black
A night support splint was an absolute game changer that immediately ended my plantar fasciitis. I started with a different support, which had issues, but switched to this StabilityACE, which has been fantastic! I have been dealing with plantar fasciitis in one foot for a year. I started treatment with stretching, ice, and anti-inflammatory medication, then shoe inserts, then fancy running shoes (brooks beast), then custom molded shoe inserts from a podiatrist. Each treatment helped my issues. During the day, my plantar fasciitis was pretty much completely gone. However, I was still left with my foot feeling cramped and in pain during the night and when waking up in the mornings. I would spend 5 minutes stretching my foot in bed every morning before stepping onto a pillow on the floor. It felt fine all day and at bed time, but things went wrong overnight. So, I decided to try a night support. I started with the “Futuro plantar fasciitis sleep support.” For $15, a night support was worth a try. The night support 100% solved my morning problem. After the first night, my foot felt completely fine in the morning and I stepped onto the floor without stretching with no issues. I used it every night for a week, and my plantar fasciitis issues were gone every morning. However, the Futuro splint has some serious issues. I had several issues with circulation being cut off, pain, tingling, and numbness in the ball of my foot and toes from the front strap. I tried loosening and adjusting it, which makes it less effective. After a week, I could deal with it anymore. I switched to the StabilityACE because it supports the foot from the bottom instead of the top. The problems go away when supporting from the bottom instead of the top. Don’t waste your time with other splints. Go straight to the StabilityACE. It is great, and the customer support is outstanding. Some highlights: It works. I have not had any morning pain since I began using a night support. Comfortable. I sleep with it on every night and I do not have any issues wearing it or sleeping with it on. Fit adjustment. There is velcro adjustment for fine tuning it, then buckles for taking it on and off during normal use. This is great! Because of the buckles, it stays in the desired configuration and the velcro does not have to be re-adjusted with every use. Angle adjustment. The side straps and wedges give all of the needed flexibility for adjustment. Stealth. The buckles allow for quiet removal in the morning. I get up early in the morning while my wife is sleeping. The Velcro on the previous splint was loud and woke her up when removing it in the morning. Not anymore! Silent removal. The Ball. This is a bonus. After going to the gym, I roll my foot around on it under my desk at work. I believe it helps. I would sometimes have a bit of aching in my foot after some harder leg workouts at the gym, but have not had that issue since I started using the ball. Plus it feels good. Those are the highlights that come to mind. Overall, this is an outstanding product with outstanding customer service. I am very happy that I found this splint! ... show more

  • IT WORKED. Be careful trying to walk with it though
Size: Large Color: Black
The boot seems to work. I am walking much better now and with No limp. The pain in my Achilles tendon is almost gone. The tendon does not hurt no where near as it did before using this boot. I slept with it two nights and wore it for a few hours while watching TV. However, this boot is definitely NOT for walking so believe the instructions. With the boot angled so I will feel some stretch on my Achilles tendon, it was almost impossible for me to walk with the boot even just to the bathroom. The vendor sent me an email stating the the L on the boot was for large and not the left foot. Well it stated in the instructions for the boot that it could be used for either foot. But I guess some people may have been confused because using the boot on the right foot as I am, the boot is very difficult to snap. The snaps are on the outside of my right foot. For people who need this boot for their left foot the snaps would be on the inside of the foot and easier to reach and snap the straps. Maybe a left and right with straps on the inside of the foot would be a good idea or straps with connectors on both sides of the boot. ... show more

  • Fixed plantar fasciitis after 4 months of pain - I run ~50 miles per week
Size: Large Color: Black
I run 40-60 miles per week participate in marathons and half marathons. I first noticed something wrong with my foot around November or early December -- a tightness whenever I got out of my car after commuting to work in the morning. I didn't think much of it. Then in late December the tightness turned to pain and I quickly realized I had plantar fasciitis. I ran once more a couple days later and then took 6 days off running. It didn't go away. I started being much more careful about my running. I realized interval training hurt it much worse. I reduced mileage and rotated shoes. I tried massaging it throughout the day or rolling my foot on a frozen water bottle. Nothing worked more than temporarily. In late March I came down with a slight knee injury and decided to take a couple weeks off running and only bike. My plantar fasciitis didn't improve at all -- even just walking around was irritating it. I started running again and decided I needed to try something else. A little over a week ago I purchased this product. The first night I adjusted it too tight and took it off in the middle of the night. The second night I fixed the adjustment and wore it all night. When I woke up in the morning my foot didn't hurt, although the pain returned later in the day. Since then I've worn it every night for about a week and I can say that my plantar fasciitis has improved dramatically. It only hurts slightly in the afternoons. I really feel like this product is helping it heal. It's annoying to wear to bed, but it's worth it if this is what it takes to eliminate the problem. I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • this works fine, but has major problems in my experience
Size: Large Color: Black
this works fine, but has major problems in my experience. First, this should be sold with either a right side buckle (for left foot) or left side buckle (for right foot) or the user should be able to move the buckles. That's not possible since they are riveted in place. (Another solution would be 2 riveted buckles, one on each side...) I use it on my right foot for achilles insertional tendonitis but the buckles are on the right side. It's really hard for me to get at the buckles on the right bottom to latch them at night without extreme contortions. Alternatively, they could sell it only to 20-year-old yoga instructors... part of the problem is the extra lip of padding under the buckle which tends to interfere with closure, but since you can't see this if used on your right foot, you have to navigate blind. Frustration is not conducive to falling asleep! The second problem is that the hook-and-loop straps can only be tightened but NOT loosened once they are buckled. So if you realize it's too tight, that means taking it off and going thru extreme contortions to get it buckled again. As a result, I probably leave it a little looser than I should. On a positive note, it's sturdy enough and I can walk a bit in it if I need to get up at night. ... show more
