I have another Caspar pillow which I prefer - that one has a very soft outer layer and a firmer, removable, inner layer. I was surprised to find this pillow quite different - it does not hav two compartments. It is medium soft - the pillow does feel soft but it does not squish flat - it has good support, especially for side sleeping. I find that the softness is not exactly lumpy but they are some parts of the pillow that are almost a lumpy - dense areas - which is disconcerting. The pillow i not at all malleable and I do prefer a malleable pillow. But if you want softness plus good support, this might work for you ... show more

When the pillow arrived, I was skeptical because it was tightly rolled up. I wasn’t sure how good this pillow would be because of that tight roll. However, I am happy to share that this pillow has been amazing! I’ve had it for about a week now and have had some of the best sleep in a long time. It’s big and fluffy, yet surprisingly supportive when you lie down. I felt like I was resting my head on a cloud and it’s incredible. Also, this comes with a 30-day sleep trial. I’m always on the hunt for the perfect pillow. This one comes pretty close. After taking it out of the packaging, it takes some time to fluff up. Once it does, it feels amazing. It is soft but still has structure at the same time. It provides just enough support whether sleeping on my side or back and does not leave my neck feeling stiff. So far so good.
