Description

Only from Huffy! The Huffy Stone Mountain is equipped to deliver in looks and in performance. The striking look in purple gloss, the 21 speeds, and the front suspension all add up to one hardtail ready for action. Backed by our limited lifetime warranty, (see owner's manual for details), the steel hardtail frame provides solid performance and efficiently transfers your pedal power for strong acceleration on straight surfaces and uphill climbs. Just follow the simple step-by-step instructions; our product manual guides you through every step. This 24-inch model is ideal for ages 12-19 and a rider height of 58-70 inches; an alloy quick release enables easy seat height adjustments. The ATB saddle, with premium padding, has stitched sides for lasting comfort. Front suspension on the Stone Mountain handles uneven terrain with ease. The suspension fork, in rich black gloss, absorbs any bumps and dips encountered on your path for a smoother-feeling ride. The indexed SHIMANO TZ-31 rear derailleur combines with the micro-shift twist shifter to deliver 21 speeds on-demand for uphill climbing, downhill riding, or pure acceleration. The removable rear derailleur guard protects the gears from any unintentional damage. Knobby 24" X 1.95" tires provide good traction in wet and dry conditions - on dirt, gravel, or even pavement. Lightweight alloy wheels in matte black blend well with the overall design. Front and rear steel linear pull handbrakes provide consistent, dependable stopping action on demand. The slight-rise handlebar enables upright riding to minimize back and shoulder strain. Kraton grips remain comfortable to the touch on short and longer rides.

  • Sturdy
Color: Dark Blue Size: 26 Inch Wheels/17 Inch Frame Pattern Name: Bike
Bought this bike for my 11 year old son and he absolutely loves it. He’s very tall for his age, this bike is still a tad to big for him but he’s very confident riding it

  • Shame on Amazon for labeling this “Amazons Choice”
Color: Dark Blue Size: 26 Inch Wheels/17 Inch Frame Pattern Name: Bike
I really hate writing a bad review, I have a business and I understand when idiots want to rant about nonsense to get money back. That’s not why I am here. I am here because I just want to save others from going through what I went through. I almost always read reviews before I buy, but I didn’t on this one because I trusted the “Amazon’s Choice” label that’s put next to the rating. I figured I can’t go wrong. I don’t know pricing on bikes, and I take responsibility for that, if I knew that the price would lead to me saying “you get what you pay for” I would have bought a nicer bike, which, I’m going to have to end up doing now anyway. This bike is junk, it might as well be sitting in a dump somewhere. It’s garbage. I’ve ridden it maybe 4 times. Every single time I ride it (I’ve been trying to ride for about an hour to get a decent work out), every time I ride this bike the handle bar comes loose. The first time it came so loose it was just flopping around and almost falling off, I couldn’t believe it. I thought maybe I didn’t tighten it enough. So each time now before I ride, I have to tighten it as much as possible and every single time by the end of the hour it’s coming loose. Now on my last ride yesterday, not only was the handlebar coming loose, the left pedal is falling off. Keep in mind I’m not doing bike stunts or tricks, I’m not mountain biking on crazy trails. I am riding my bike around boston on flat easy to ride bike trails that aren’t strenuous. I am a novice rider who is barely even pushing the limits of the bike yet this piece of trash is falling apart right from under me as I ride it gently around bike trails in the city. It’s kind of a joke. Don’t waste your money, seriously. Spend a little more and get a real bike. Now I will have to do the same and just eat the loss because the return policy doesn’t let me return it anymore and I haven’t even had it a month. Enjoy the money you robbed me of, huffy, you’ll never get another dollar from me ever again. ... show more

  • Not bad for the price!
Color: Charcoal Gloss Size: 26 Inch Wheels/17 Inch Frame Pattern Name: Bike
Quick and easy to put together. The only thing is the front wheel came in and the rim is a little bent. Other than that great bike for the price.

  • Brakes are too short
Color: Charcoal Gloss Size: 26 Inch Wheels/17 Inch Frame Pattern Name: Bike
EDIT 10/22 The seat broke. It keeps tilting back when I sit on it. I literally cannot tighten the nuts anymore. The seat is going to have to be replaced. Really pisses me off. This is a pretty good bike. I got this bike after spending years riding my mon's old Giant(which costs about $500 in today's money), and while it doesn't quite measure up to that one, it still feels pretty comfortable. It rides smoothly, and the gears are noticeably different from each other. I switch gears a lot when going against the wind or going up or down hill, so it was important the gears worked well. I brought it to a bike shop to put together instead of doing it myself to avoid any problems from poor assembly. Early on I had an issue with the right brake sticking, and I took it to the bike shop that put it together but it unstuck at that point and the bike shop couldn't see any problem. The brake hasn't stuck since, so it could just be that the bike needed breaking in. A bigger issue with the brakes is that they're simply too short. I can't comfortably rest my fingers on them when I'm riding (which you should always do to be safe). I can only really get one finger on them. The brakes are only half the size of the handle, and the inner part of the handle is taken up by the gear mechanism, so I can't put my hands any closer to the brakes without accidently changing the gears. Seeing as this is a women's bike, and women have smaller hands then men, this is strange. It's a minor issue though. Overall I'm really happy with this bike, especially considering I didn't have much of a choice since it seems there's a bike shortage because of the pandemic. ... show more

  • What I just wanted
Color: Dark Blue Size: 26 Inch Wheels/17 Inch Frame Pattern Name: Bike
Bought it for commutes that take about 7 mins one way. It was easy to assemble thanks to the tips video you can find in the product page. I had no tools but it came with everything. 28 pounds is not so light but should be good enough for most adults to carry it with one arm. The seat is a bit hard but not so an issue for my use case. ... show more

  • better than what you expect
Color: Dark Blue Size: 26 Inch Wheels/17 Inch Frame Pattern Name: Bike
I usually don't give 5 stars but this product deserve it. I must say that I only went out a couple of times in trails that are not demanding so my rating may be premature but all components are working well and I have a good feeling about quality. I am using mountain bike since when they first came out 30 years ago, I felt I didn't need disc brake because, unless you buy quality you only open the door to trouble and maintenance. This is a technology that you don't need unless you run competitive races. You don't need back suspension unless you do jumps or downhill specialties. The back suspension absorb your kinetic energy when you push in the pedals. This is the best bike for your money if you start or for occasional demanding rides. ... show more
