I love Kiara Sky Dip Powder. This is my first time using this product. Easy to use, and applies evenly. The color was darker than expected, but I do love it! I especially love the slight glitter in it. A very nice color for autumn or summer (with a tan 😉). I included a picture so you could see the true color compared to the powder color. If you like bright reddish/orange color you will enjoy this. The color name is inaccurate in my opinion.

Ignore everything - I don’t know what I’m doing yet. Just posting to show the gorgeous color. Rag Doll is a light muted neon (oxymoron?) bubblegum-coral. hello Light Springs! Also pictured is D401M White that comes in the French set. I love Kiara Sky so far!

This review is for cocoa coral Kiara Sky dip powder. I love the Kiara Sky dip powders. I have probably 12 different shades from this brand. Half the time the color is slightly different from what you see online. I’m not sure I can say this one was too different, I just think the name was misleading a bit. The color is more reddish/orange than coral. However, I still gave 5 stars because coral is subjective. I personally didn’t like the color. I’m not going to return it, I may use it again as a pedi option, but it will never be a go to for a mani. I used nail tips with this set of nails. I did one center stripe coat where the tip met my natural nail, two more coats over the full nail tip and just slightly over onto my natural nail. This gives me extra strength at the apex to prevent breakage. I also had issues with my nails breaking right at the point where the tip met my natural nail. This helps with that. I’ve seen tricks where some place the nail tip futher down the natural nail as well. This also helps me a lot. I have three little ones so being easy on my nails isn’t an option. I then do two full nail coats with the color & one full dip with clear. I use my drill to shave down some of the bulk on the free edge, but the rest of the nail isn’t too bulky. I’ve found that number of coats gives me a manicure that lasts 3-4 weeks. I know some don’t like their nails to last that long, but the nail dip process is time consuming. Once every 3-4 weeks is plenty often for me. I’m not a professional, as I’m sure you can tell by the photo, I just like to save a little money from going to the salon & still have my nails look nice.

Update: I’m editing because this chipped after only being on for 4 days. I’ve been doing this a long time and have never had any of my colors chip, even after 3 weeks. This is not a coral color at all! It’s a bright neon orange! The only reason I gave 2 stars is because I like the quality of this brand. It should not be listed as a coral color.

Color: Rag Doll
Used two coats for my nails and they would come out slightly blotchy. My fingers would have inconsistent shades of the color, some would be super bright through the whole nail and some would be more faint. I used even coats and shook the container before using, and have done a few trials of this color. Still ended up with inconsistent shades each time... maybe the pigment ratio is just a tad too low in this formula.
