I'm pretty new to sewing, but this machine was very simple to figure out. Made a couple outfits for my dog and they turned out great! The stitches are neat and it doesn't jam even when the fabric gets a bit thick. Love that everything you need is already in the box!

I have been wanting to get into sewing for a while but the intimidation factor of a full sized machine and everything that comes with learning a new skill kept putting it off longer than it needed to be. Getting something more approachable and compact felt like the right way to actually start and this has been a really enjoyable entry point into the hobby. The fact that it comes with fabric and thread included means I could just sit down and start experimenting without having to make additional purchases before getting any satisfaction out of it which was exactly the kind of friction free beginning I needed to actually follow through on trying something new. The twelve built in stitches give enough variety to keep things interesting and I've been working through different ones just to see what they do which has been genuinely fun in a low stakes exploratory way. The two speed options have been useful because I started on the lower speed while getting comfortable with how everything works and have been gradually moving to the higher speed as I've gotten more confident. For a beginner the learning curve is real and I've had some moments of frustration figuring out threading and tension but those feel like normal parts of learning rather than flaws with the machine itself. The compact size means it fits on my desk without dominating the space which has made it easy to just pull out and use rather than having to set up and put away a larger machine each time. My husband who walked by while I was using it ended up sitting down and trying it himself which turned into an unexpectedly fun shared activity. My honest note is that it's clearly a beginner level machine and anyone looking to do serious or heavy duty sewing will outgrow it quickly but for learning the basics and enjoying the process of making things it has been a really satisfying and fun purchase. ... show more
