This is a lot of machine. The videos make things a lot easier to accomplish. I basically started embroidering with this machine and it was very overwhelming at first, but has paid off. This machine has so many features and has been very durable. You just need a lot of patience when first learning.

This is my SECOND BAI MIRROR MACHINE! I purchased the first one in April of 2023. It was and still is amazing. I decided to purchase a second Bai Mirror in Oct 2024. I purchased once again from the representative I had with the first machine. The customer support and service is beyond amazing! Anytime I have a question they respond as soon as they are able. For the price of the machine and all of the features this is an outstanding way to be able to begin or expand embroidery. The machine itself is definitely a game changer in embroidery. 15 needles so less time changing thread and also since multi needle the machine does all of the work once you have your design set unless you are doing appliqué the you set the stops needed. The set up was fairly easy. The machine (I have a single head machine— this is not a single needle just called single head in the BAI organization) is very heavy. This is an industrial type of embroidery machine and once all systems are in place and understand of how the machine controls operate it is fairly easy to use. IF you are new to embroidery (or even been embroidering for years) this machine is a lot to learn but with the help of groups on social media and the wonderful support of the representatives it can be mastered with time dedicated to learning. My recommendation would be to have a digital TOWA tension gauge to use with the machine. For me, once I used this and set the tension properly the only issues have been minor thread breaks here and there which is normal in embroidery work. I highly recommend the BAI Machines.

I entered into this knowing ZERO things about embroidery or the machines that do it. Can attest, there is a real learning curve - especially knowing as little as I did. It's taken some time to figure out (kinda), and has been at times immensely frustrating... but Bai's support team (shout-out to Luke Ren and Johnson Gao!) is honestly second to none. Join the Facebook support group, post your problems and questions, and get to it... I've literally had hour-long support sessions where I recorded multiple videos of what I was struggling with, and they responded immediately with still frames and hand annotation of what I needed to change. BTW - I've learned now that few things are specific to this machine... 'rats nests' and 'constant broken threads' are the exact same things someone in the Ricoma or Tajima groups are asking about. Don't get it twisted, if you're entering a whole new skill with no prior skill like I did, it WILL get frustrating. But me and thousands of other people have done exactly that, encountered the exact same problems you have (or eventually will have), and rest easy knowing there's a huge community of folks, along with skilled operators like Luke and Johnson who will be there to offer advice and support.

This machine is no lightweight. I went feom a single needle machine to this. However, it was easy to set up and start stitching. If there is a question, the videos in their YouTube channel are incredibly helpful. The customer service is amazing as well. When I joined the BAi FaceBook page, I was immediately sent messages offering to help. They also set up a group chat just for me and the service engineers, as well as the Amazon rep. It is reassuring to know that help is just a click away if I need it. I have only stitched out one piece so far and it stitched nicely. Two threads did break, but it was an easy fix. One word of advice, if the thread breaks, make sure to go back to restitch. I didn't do that. User error... I can't wait to make more pieces. 😀 Edited on April 9, 2023: This machine is a workhorse for sure! It has been easy to learn and easy to figure out user errors. As you can see, I have been busy! This isn't even half of what I have been making. The files for these designs were purchased for my single needle machine, but the Embrilliance software (purchased separately) and the included USB made the transfer to DST files simple. I would most definitely recommend the BAi Mirror 1501 to everyone. You will be addicted to watching it work its magic! Edited November 27, 2024: Still going strong! First off-it should be mentioned I have never. Not once. Owned or operated a sewing or embroidery machine. My add a new hobby tendency kicked in and I decided to add embroidery to my (very) small business. I researched and researched machines. And I did not want to spend $20k on something I might not like doing, and I might not make sales with. I landed on Bai, and then chose the M1501. Packing: superb. Comes in a heavy duty plywood crate. Shipping was fast. Inclusions: EVERYTHING. Multiple hoops of different sizes. 2 hoops for hats, and the driver. Hoop arms to do flat projects. A sample box of thread, bobbin and stabilizer. All the tools you need for the machine in a handy tool box. Prethreaded needles. A flash drive so you can transfer designs. Customer service: keep in mind the live service is located in China-they’re on a completely different day than the US more often than not. I’m in MST and I always get IMMEDIATE help around 6pm our time. A rep reached out to me via Facebook after purchasing (which is slightly strange I will admit-but with technology these days it’s not surprising). He’s been a plethora of trouble shooting assistance. They friendly, knowledgeable and will literally step by step video walk you through what to check. They also have an incredible YouTube channel that can answer pretty much any questions you may have. The machine: ease of use-easy peasy. Seriously. Anyone could figure it out. I’m pretty technologically savvy so I was up and completely running in about a week (with some help from customer service about an issue I was having). I’ve had the machine 3 weeks and I’ve been throwing out items left and right. Don’t get me wrong….there’s been times I’m completely baffled and frustrated. It just takes watching videos or contacting customer service to get me rolling again. It stitches BEAUTIFULLY. and is very straight forward as far as the mechanics go. But again-YouTube can answer pretty much any questions you may run into. Conclusion: get the machine. It’s a little noisy-but we have it in a corner in our house, so the sound might be amplified a little. But it’s easy to use and gives beautiful products. Oh and a little tip: read the manual about what the buttons on the setting page adjust. It’ll save you a TON of frustration in the long run.

I want to start by saying there is a learning curve with an embroidery machine of this caliber. If you decide to purchase this, and your experience with industrial embroidery machines is limited, then go in with the expectation that you will need to allow yourself a little time to understand the ins and outs of the machine as well as any new embroidery software you invest in to create your design files. HOWEVER if you’re willing to be a learner then this machine is awesome and super capable! ALSO you will NEVER feel alone in using this machine! The team at BAI is FANTASTIC and very hands-on! They WILL NOT leave you stranded feeling alone like you cannot figure out how to use the machine. From the very beginning, the team was making contact with me without me asking, checking in, and eventually, when I needed help, answering all the questions I have had— both big and small. This is a huge asset and a huge comfort. Additionally, you will be able to find a plethora of information about this machine and troubleshooting on this machine on YouTube which is also a huge plus. I originally looked at a machine from another brand that has all of the same bells and whistles as this one, but it was going to cost me $12k more. My only hesitation with purchasing this machine was a concern about whether or not I’d be able to contact anyone should I have issues. But this is not anything I ever needed to worry about because, again, I never even had to figure out how to contact anyone from BAI on my own— they contacted me FIRST! I could not be more pleased with my purchase and the company. I will definitely buy from BAI again.
