The media could not be loaded. I got this machine for Christmas 2023. 3 months later attached are projects completed or in progress. The learning curve was not hard at all considering I have sewed for 40+ years on my regular Brother sewing machine. The computer touch screen is great, stitching is very close and precise with the patterns preloaded. I have not downloaded other patterns yet but enjoying the ones the machine provides. Keep in mind the quality of stitch pattern you stitch is dependant on how good the quality of digitized format. The Brother patterns included are detailed and quality. I included a close up of one font to see stitching and size and a short video. I made dragon pennants for my granddaughter's BD party. She loved them hanging in the backdrop. Now I can use after party for a quilt, pillows, tote, etc. I have only used recommended Brothread so far and very pleased with quality, colors, and results. Suggest trying one spool of other brand first to make sure machine works well with other brand thread before buying a bundle pack. I bought 1 Sulky spool as another color choice brand line option to try before investing in that brand. I have used the Brothread stabilizer with good results as well. So many more features to learn on the machine. I am loving it so far with just 3 months of usage. Vendor was Mr Vac and Mrs. Sew and they were GREAT in communication for an adjustment during a sale price. Highly recommend their customer service! ... show more

I purchased this machine in December and received it in January, because of the holidays I made the mistake of not using the machine for about 3 weeks. Once I started using the machine, I had issues from day one. The thread and needle broke on several occasion, the machine would completely shut down halfway through a project, it just doesn’t work. The machine is either refurbished, used or defective. I tried to troubleshoot it myself, with the seller and with the manufacturer and nothing worked. The seller refuses to return/exchange the machine because their 30 days return window has closed. So I now have to get a “brand new” machine repaired. This has been a very frustrating process so please do yourself a favor and do not make the same mistake I made, DO NOT buy these types of expensive sewing machine online. Go to a reputable seller in your area and save yourself the headache. ... show more

I already have another Brother embroidery machine but wanted a larger hoop size. I love this embroidery machine. I do mostly Fsl and in the hoop projects using vinyl. This machine performs beautifully. Great even stitches on top and bottom. Very easy to operate. Read the manual to familiarize myself with its operation. Very similar as my 5x7 machine but with slight upgrade changes. I love the wireless WiFi feature to send designs from my desktop computer to the machine. Great feature! Also cuts those annoying jump stitches. I don’t use prewoumd bottoms. I wind my own but I use an independent bobbin winder and I can fill the bobbins completely just like the prewound are. This is by far my most precious item to date. It takes a couple days to get the hang of placement. It came with software which is absolutely amazing, I have purchased additional software, and in the 2 months since purchase, I have made every dime I spent back.     • A Keeper
We have tried 4 Embroidery machines, to replace a 25 year old machine. This NQ1700E works as it should and easy to learn for a Senior. Others we tried were overly complicated, one broke needles on built in patterns. Another was difficult to change needles. All the hassle went away with this Brother.
