Great price and features, the high (see through) riser and low-profile mounts are both included! Quick QD detach to picatinny rail is very secure and has a small 'lock lever' built into the 'release lever'! The red dot is clear and well defined., The 11-setting dial (4-night settings, 7-day settings) are dark enough for pitch black situations and the daylight settings are bright enough to see in brightest daylight! also is very solidly built but still lightweight - 5 stars so far!

Having now shot the AR-15 about 50 rounds on two seperate outings, this sight holds zero well, appears to be sturdy (although not really enough time and use to say with certainty) and is clear. The red dot is sometimes difficult to see in bright daylight, but once having identified the dot, it is sufficient to do the jib. Wish it would enlarge the dot! Satisfied at this price point, on time delivery, well packaged.

Good value for money. Great for plinking and target shooting. No auto shutoff means battery will be dead if you forget to shut it off each time.

Out of the box, the Axiom II was mounted to a 3/4 inch riser with a quick release thumb toggle. The toggle has a safety latch so that it can not be accidentally released should it get hooked on something. The box also contained a 3/8 inch riser that can accept the quick release mechanism. The caps that cover the windage and elevation adjustment screws, have nubs on the top so that they can be flipped over and used to sight in the red dot. A very simple engineering modification but genius!, especially if you forgot your screwdriver. The on/off power adjustment knob is easy to turn, unlike the Bushnell TRS 25 which is what I'll be comparing the Axiom to. This makes a big difference especially with cold hands. The on/off starting position is on top which is also unlike the TRS 25. This makes it easy to see what position it is in. The TRS 25 starting position is at 3 o’clock and you have to look between the windage and elevation screws which is awkward, and cumbersome. The Axiom II has 11 power positions which is the same as the TRS 25. The 11 positions have a much wider range from # 1, “ I don’t think it’s on” to 11, “ Holy crap that’s bright”. Somewhere around 6 or 7 was perfect for day time shooting. I love the fact that I took it out of the box, mounted it to my gun, and was sighting it in within a few minutes with absolutely no tools. With the 3/4 riser that it came with pre-attached, it will co-witness with iron sites in the lower third of the sight. The day I reviewed it it was raining and foggy with 8 inches of snow on the ground. Although my safety glasses fogged over, the red dot did not. The only negative I would have is that the dot has a little distortion in that the dot isn’t completely round. This may be that this way my eye perceived it as I have had this problem with other red dots. It was worse on higher settings. It came with tools and extra screws for mounting the other base that came with it. It also came with a lens cleaning cloth which was a nice addition. If I need a red dot in the future, I won't hesitate to purchase this and I would even recommend it to my friends.

The media could not be loaded. This is a fine sight at any price, a capable, rugged red dot sight. I had a friend recommend I get an Aimpoint Pro red dot sight. I had the opportunity to get this instead--in my case free because of the Amazon Vine program which allows you to obtain certain items in return for a review. So the choice for me was between $445 and free--not a hard choice. But even at the normal $139.95 for this sight versus the Aimpoint Pro's $445, I would likely go with this sight. I'm not an expert on sights so I follow recommendations and my friends agree that this is a quality sight. The red dot goes from tiny and very dim (for night shooting) to large and very bright over its eleven adjustment steps. The dot is easily seen in full daylight. Solidly built of quality aluminum, this sight comes with two bases, one low profile and one for lower QD (quick detach) 1/3 co-witness use. IPX7 rating means it can be submerged in a meter of water for an hour without harm. Sight is shock tested. This sight is more than sufficient for my needs. I recommend it.
