I got the black ones for my kitchen island. I got the 29" bar height rather than the 24" counter height. The taller ones are still great for sitting at the kitchen island and eating or working on a laptop. I got the black ones. (One set of two). Pros 1. Look great. Just what I wanted. I bought on impulse because of the price, and I am glad I did. 2. Actual solid wood with heavy gauge wood bolts and dowels. (I added glue to dowels). 2. Sturdy. 3. Price. Awesome deal. I got them on Special for around 50 bucks. 4. Good height. 5. Everything you need in the box. Including tool, hole plugs and felt for bottom of chairs. Cons 1. Finish is good, but not great. Some minor imperfections. Not a big deal. 2. Metal cover where someone might rest their feet. Thoughtful touch. But they are glued on and one already came off. I am very happy with these. For the price these stores look gorgeous in my kitchen. I live in a very small home with a very small kitchen and hardly any storage so we decided to replace our table with an island/table. What a big difference these go nicely under the ledge of the table part of our island they’re not the most comfortable but how long are we really sitting at our kitchen table. Used as bar stools. Nice and sturdy. Finish not even and one was blotchy so I suspect Quality Control is not quite up to six sigma. I don't know the wood but it is quite brittle. the edge on one splintered already so I had to sand it down and round over the edge. This was in the first hour. I think I'll get the cushions just to keep splinters out of people's legs. Overall these are OK. three out of 4 are perfect. One seems to have been a problem from the start ... show more

Bought these to go with a portable island in my kitchen; these are super sturdy. Love that each stool has a metal plate for resting your feet on without damaging the wood. Would highly recommend and definitely have zero regrets about purchasing.

It was very easy to put these stools together. They even come with a soft felt pad for each foot so it doesn’t scratch the floor. They are very sturdy and nice looking, but you can’t sit on them for very long because they are very hard and the edges are not rounded. However, I will purchase some cushions for them. I also like the metal strip on the foot bar, which keeps someone from damaging the foot bar with their shoes. ... show more
