  • Easily heats 25’x40’ finished basement Easily heats 25’x40’ finished basement
Style: CK 200-2 Trend
If you have the electrical capacity, skip over the 120v model and opt for the 240v 2,000W model. I installed this unit yesterday. I had an issue fishing the wiring, but that’s construction related and has nothing to do with the actual unit. Once I got the 14AWG wiring pulled from the breaker panel to the space between the wall, the remainder of the install was a breeze. I fastened it to the drywall with 3 toggle bolts and to get a super clean look for the wiring entrance, I used a 1/2” chase nipple and a 1/2” rigid coupling and drilled a 3/4” hole into the drywall. Based on the geometry of the back side of the 120V model, the 240V seemed like the way to go. So glad I did. The reviews and the methods in most others photos left something to be desired. But that’s none of my concern. Our basement is finished, but the previous owner did a poor job of adding the right amount of supply ducts to keep it warm in the winter. Not wanting to rip out drywall, I chose this $150 option instead. The basement in December through February usually averages around 58 degrees, so it’s basically unusable for us and our 2-year old son. I fired this unit up and within about two hours we were up to 67 degrees. Maintaining 65 now, I find the unit runs about 15 minutes on and 45 minutes off. Estimating our energy use and cost that’s about $0.04/hour. Likely around an added $30/month, but it’s only 3 months out of the year and the basement family room is the nicest part of the house. Totally worth it. As for the unit, I have no complaints. Installed super easy, wiring and safety circuits are all German engineered, so you know it’s good. Simple on/off side switch and a top mounted thermostat knob. We keep it on the 11 o’clock position and that seems to be pretty steadily holding the room at 65 degrees. Plenty warm enough for us. Now a little too warm in my opinion for the treadmill, but I love the cold. Highly recommended this heater to anyone and may buy a second unit for the guest bedroom in the basement too just for better customizable comfort. ... show more

  • this unit is awesome! NEED electrician with 240v unit tho!!
Style: CK 200-2 Trend
AWESOME PRODUCT. does not come with an exterior 1/2" (INCH) knockout to run conduit directly to unit, you must run wire down wall and into back of unit for operation. but i voided warranty and drilled hole in the side it works fine, Also this unit will most likely need a dedicated circuit if you are in north america it specifies to install on a 15a Overcurrent protection. PERFECT OPERATION THOUGH i have a room that the walls are cinder block and even with central heat it doesnt get comfortable, as soon as i put the heater in it warmed it in there perfectly i didnt even turn it up all the way and it shuts off when room reaches comfort temp on thermostat. going to recommend this product indefinitely ... show more

  • Good little heater
Style: CK 200-2 Trend
We put this in a bathroom with very high ceilings. Mounting it low pushes heat across the tile floor. For the money, this is a great little heater, Since we were doing remodel I had an electrician install it. Glad I did so they could hardwire and change the breaker to accommodate 220. Also ran it through the wall so no exposed wiring. I really like the simplicity of this model. Really decent heat that you turn on when you want. Does what it's supposed to do without the funky digital bells and whistles. We started with their highest-end digital model and gave up on it and sent it back. Limited heat and impossible to program. Simple mechanical control is the way to go. I also quite like this company and their customer service, Very responsive and helpful. When I told one of their customer people about the issues I was having he directed me to this model. While it's their initial model and hard plastic, it still looks good and it works flawlessly. Noise is not an issue. If you want simple and dependable heat on demand, this is a great economical choice that looks good. ... show more

  • I love this heater
Style: CK 150-1 Trend
I didn't trust a random brand heater while sleeping in our trailer in the mountains, so I spent the extra money on this. The quality is apparent. It is awesome, so I bought my dad one for his office, which is always super cold. He loves it too. It comfortably heats in 30-40 degrees: LR/kitchen of park model camper on 50A service line or a 10x14 room with a window (and a very cheap landlord). ... show more

  • Dont buy this unit for U.S.A.
Style: CK 200-2 Trend
This is the second of these 2kW 240V heaters I bought and both failed. I would recommend you do not buy this unit at least for use in the USA. As is usual in the US we have two 120V incoming power lines with 240V between the lines. However we frequently loose just one phase from the power company. Because of the other loads on the lines the voltage between the lines then goes to about 40V in our case. So the fan in this unit fails to run but there is enough power to the heater to cause the unresettable and unreplaceable fusible link to fail. The unit is then junk. ... show more

  • Not to good :updated 2-22
Style: CK 200-2 Trend
Had hi hopes with this but the onboard thermistat is short cycleing and the fan is vibrating the entire case it is not quiet at all. Requested a replacement to give it the benifit of a doubt just a bad unit. Currently have the thermistat at max and its 73 in here and getting colder it turns on for about 30 to 60 seconds and off for at least 3 minutes that is not what it did when i first got it and its gotten worse and the constant resonating hum from the fan has gottan worse as well. So in short if the replacement dont work ill put it in the bathroom where it can be lazy and dont need to work so hard for a smaller room. 2-22-26: The replacement is hotter and the fan is stronger it runs more constant and not as noisy but still the fan motor is NOT silent. With the problems i had with the other one im returning it and bought something from HomeDepot ... show more
