I bought these to organize my winter sweatshirts. They hold a good number of shirts and stack well. Come winter I will switch out and store my summer wear. I even downsized my closet to take a bunch of clothes to goodwill. If you need to organize and store, these bins are great.

I have edited this post and increased the stars to 4. The storage containers themselves are pretty nice; however, shipping can be hard on them. We had one of our storage bins arrive broken. We ordered enough to where we can throw it out theoretically, but these bins are expensive, so to have one in a box of four broken is quite the expense. I contacted the seller and they said that they would send me replacement bins. They have not arrived yet, but the tracking number says it's in its way. Customer service is a little slow but they do eventually get back to you. I wish the shipping packaging was a little better so that bins didn't break in transit. ... show more

I use these mostly for sewing and craft supplies. I like the locking lids and that I can see what is inside without opening it up. They stack well. This style has solid white lids rather than the clear lids that are also available. Buying them 12 at a time sure lowers the unit price.

I bought a set of 12 of these storage containers because I needed properly sized boxes to go with my new Amazon Basics 5-Shelf Adjustable Heavy Duty Storage Shelf Unit. We set up the shelves so that there are 3 sections 15” high and then there’s a slightly taller shelf at the bottom. With the 15” shelf openings, these fit PERFECTLY when arranged ) six to a shelf, three across and two stacked up with the narrow end showing. They hang off the shelf by a fraction of an inch, but not enough to be problematic or even all that noticeable. (See attached photo if that doesn’t make sense, though apologies that the photo is dark and spooky, just like the basement storage where it was taken!) I wanted something small so they didn’t get too heavy, but also large enough to fit most items, and these seemed like the perfect compromise. The locking handles seem to work well. Weight-wise, I’d say these are average for modern storage tubs. I’ve had both flimsier and heavier. They do have a chemical smell that I’m hoping will go away with time. I’m usually very bothered by smells and wouldn’t want one of these, say, next to my bed. But it’s fine for the basement and I’d take it over either damp musty storage smell or the possibility of pests from something non-plastic. There are a zillion choices for storage tubs, and most of them are probably more or less “fine.” But I’d definitely recommend these as a good option. ... show more
