I had this model but older one since 2017 whole family loved it the grinder and gaskets went so after 9years I bought a new one assumed it would be just as great.. but I am disappointed the older model all you had to do was set and forget you can make any drink with same grind settings. Now if you want to make a certain drink you need to change the setting each time and you only find out after you waste grinds to find out it won’t come out bc the grind is either to small and blocks the coffee from coming out then you have to do over like 3 times waste more grinds more mess to finally find the right dose n grind takes like 13 min to make anything I have 4 people home each want their own beverage it’s impossible to make anything bc each time you make a diff drink the dose and setting needs to be done all over again takes 3-4-5 times till it the right dose n grind its frustrating ... show more

This requires work and learning your machine. Every coffee bean is different: how coarse or fine do you grind your bean? Trial and error! How many grams of coffee? Trial and error! Great machine that requires you reading the manual several times and paying attention to the quality of your output.

This is our third De’Longhi is 15 years. The first one lasted 10 years, no problems. The second one was a turd. “Empty grounds” was on all the time with or without grounds. They were both $2,000 super automatics. The Maestro takes all that away and gives us complete control. It’s an awesome machine!

absolutely disappointed. We have waited for this machine and when arrived did not work. The grinder did not work at all. These machines are not built to last, but not to work from a very beginning is a bummer… maybe is better since I am not wasting 1400 usd

    • LatteCrema system is underwhelming and not worth the pricepoint

The milk steaming capabilities of this machine fall very short. The grinder and expresso extraction (hot and cold) work great. Here are my challenges with the milk steamer: 1. Manual steaming/frothing is very underpowered and not even close to my previous breville 2. The lattecrema system clogs ALL the time and there is never a consistent quantity despite trying to do the manual setting to adjust for size of cup. The full soap soak, rinse, and cleanup of these parts take longer than manually steaming your milk. This system is designed for regular cows milk, not plant based milks. This was told to me during one the many support emails I exchanged with Delonghi. I wish this information had been disclosed before purchase. As I mentioned, I reached out to support over the past couple months (who were prompt and helpful) to fix the inconsistent and malfunctioning lattecrema system, however the only resolution was to avoid plant based milks. The higher price point and lack of an adequate milk system left me very disappointed. ... show more
