  • Great quality Great quality
Color: BLACK
This is a good stair climber. It was easy to assemble and really good quality. The delivery was questionable because the service that brought it didn't do a good job getting it from the truck to the front door. They used the wrong type of dolly and scraped the sidewalk and walkway from the truck to the front door. I had to tell them to put it down because they didn't care what they were doing. The machine isn't that loud. It's a great machine to workout on. ... show more

  • 8 foot ceiling works at 5'6; more details in review. 8 foot ceiling works at 5'6; more details in review.
Color: BLACK
I have been looking for a stepper for at least a year. I used them at the gym and have a Bowflex M7 Max trainer in the house...but its just not the same as a real stepper. I finally made a decision on this model/brand for the large step diameter and reliability. I didn't want a small economically sized stepper because then the stepping becomes a calf activity versus quads and glutes. Listen, steppers are incredible at burning calories and building muscles. If you have only 20 mins to workout, I choose a stepper (or sprints) everytime. I also bought this knowing that if it didn't work with my 8 ft ceilings downstairs, I could get it upstairs where I have vaulted ceilings. So it was worth the risk for me to purchase. However, my husband who is 5'11 cannot really use with the 8 ft ceiling. While he can hunch over and step, his feet and stride is so much longer, and being hunched over, he tends to hit the emergency stop laser at the bottom of the steps. This might be an issue for taller people with large shoe size (he's a 13) and a larger stride. I tend to stay close ar the top of the stairs. When I wear my padded shoes like HOKA, my heads definitely at the ceiling and I have to be mindfull to hunch a little. But, if I keep myself towards the center of the steps, I dont touch the ceiling. So if you are 5'6 and under, an 8 foot ceiling works. My shoes might add 1.5 inches and I can still make it work, so choose accordingly. Also, yes its heavy, but my husband and I moved it easily. Get yourself an 1000lb "dolly" from Harbor Freight. Its just a little square plank (2x2maybe) with wheels. Its little but mighty. We tipped the wooden crate on it, wheeled it inside. Onboxed the machine then tipped it again and put the dolly under the bottom platform to move into the downstairs. Easy peasy. I have been using this every day for 3 weeks, at least 30 mins with no issues. Shipping was super duper fast. Like 3 days I had it, which was faster then it said. I love to run and the stepper keeps my mind busy like im running. I also "run" the stairs and this thing keeps up. On the commercial stepper, that was a level 19 or 20...this stepper is geared different and a 9 and 10 are a fast pace. It goes up to a level 15 which is comparable to the gyms top level. At 15...the stairs are moving. Its really a sprint pace. Its large enough for me to skip a step for a better burn, and walk sideways. Ladies, dont do that kickback stuff, its useless. Instead take large steps, mix up your stance and do weighted walking lunges on the floor for glutes. A few things, take it good or bad. - The touchscreen is super sensitive. If I lean my phone or computer on it, it beeps. Nothing changes on the screen, but doesn't mean it can't or won't at some point. -The water bottle holder is only large enough to hold a plastic water bottle. Not a big deal for me, but might be for some. You might be able to put a larger holder on, but then your knees might hit it if you stay towards the top step. -There is no way to "stop" the machine officially. You can hit the stop button and it stops...but it essentially pauses it. The screen will run "pause" across it and then will eventually turn off and go into sleep mode while the switch is still on. It works, just odd. I like that the machine can stay switched on and it goes into dark sleep so the screen doesn't stay lit up, but then wakes up as soon as you touch the screen. -As for the levels: 1, 2, and 3 are smooth, 4 and 5 you can feel the chain movement more, then 6 and up are smooth again. The speed stays consistent on all levels, just a little difference in smoothness. -I think the biggest bummer for me is there are no speed controls on the handles. It all has to be changed on the main screen. If you are someone who uses manual and likes to run the stairs, it can be challenging not having the controls in the hand holds since typically im hanging on while running just incase I trip. Its hard to take a hand off the hand holds to use the main screen to slow down at a top speed. The only button on the hand control is the stop/pause button on the right hand grip. The hand controls contain the pulse sensors. -Calorie counter is way under, granted I dont use calorie trackers and counters. But, if you do, it might annoy you. For example I did 30 mins with high heart rate and speeds at 5 and 6 and it said I only burned 80 calories. Good rule of thumb is 100 calories for every 10 mins with a moderate intensity workout. - There are a ton of programs to choose from, and they will kick your butt! - It comes assembled! You only have to put on the handrails, screen and side steps to step onto, or off, the main steps. Overall, I am happy with my purchase for the price, quality and delivery. I hope this review helps others decide on this machine. ... show more

  • Great home Stair climber/stepper with a minor adjustment Great home Stair climber/stepper with a minor adjustment
Color: BLACK
This is a great home stair climber/stepper. Shipping was great, although the time frame was 8am to 8pm., I live in northern CA. so NSD was the freight shipper. I was lucky to get a.m. delivery so I didn't have to wait around all day for the delivery. Setting up was very easy, it consisted of attaching the monitor and the two hand rails. I was able to move it around by pushing or pulling the back end then the front, granted I only had to move it 3 feet from where the crate was dropped/delivered. Operation is smooth and quiet, seems to be good quality for the money. The monitor buttons work well and the pulse sensor works great too. I did have one complaint, the laser shut down or emergency shut off at the bottom of the steps is a little too high and shuts off a bit too early. I do double steps to work deeper into the thighs and gluts and it would shut off prematurely. I lowered the laser shut off, if you take a look at the pics its fairly easy to drill out where the screw is and lower it by a couple inches. That makes all the difference and does not shut off every time when doing double steps. Other than that it is a solid machine and would recommend it for anyone looking for a home stair climber. ... show more

  • Stair stepper stopped working after 3 days, horrible customer service trying to get it repaired.
Color: BLACK
Had the stair machine 3 days and it stopped working. The steps now just free spin with no resistance whether the machine is on or off. When the machine is turned on it clicks but the steps do not start rotations and if I try to step on the machine they just free spin and I fall straight to the ground. I am not able to put any weight on the steps without it free spinning. I have contacted GMWD customer support and they have nobody to talk to on the phone. They communicate through email. So it’s a huge hassle having to describe and send pictures/videos through email to their technicians. It would be a lot easier communicate with someone on the phone. Then I have to wait to receive emails back which has taken about a day to receive an email back each time. There has been several times where the communication wasn’t clear and I’ve had to write an email back just to make sure they understand what was in my email, which just makes the process even longer and builds my frustration. If this doesn’t get resolved very soon, I will end up just returning the step machine before the return period is up. It’s going on 6 days now since I first contacted GMWD customer service and I have been emailing back and forth just trying to figure out what’s wrong. ... show more

This thing is brutal, in a good way! Nothing like climbing stairs to get your heart rate up and help you drop some weight. Came packaged really well and was super easy to assemble. Another great product from GMWD

  • Good Budget Option Good Budget Option
Color: SS03 Black
It’s a good budget option. Delivery left the crate by the garage door which was nice of them. The machine does what you would expect although I noticed the smell of burning rubber after 45 minutes of use. There are no pre-set programs so you have to manually adjust the levels. The machine is very quiet and I’ve been using it for 3 months now so not sure why so many noise complaints on the reviews. ... show more
