I got the black one on a very steeply discounted price and it's a great purchase. Like many others, I moved to working from home full-time as a result of the pandemic. I've spent nearly the entire last year at my desk for 8 hours or more a day, and the less than ideal racecar gaming chair was beginning to take its toll on me. I'm still young and healthy, but I was growing more concerned about not having a chair with adequate back support in the long term. Racecar chairs do not really provide adequate support for your back and in many cases, by their design, force you to sit in a way that might even be worse for it than if you had adequate support. Enter, this Steelcase chair. I first sat in a Steelcase chair back when I used to work in an office a few years ago. I wanted to spring for one of their chairs that had a high back, because I'm a decently tall guy (6'0") and average weight. The chairs were comfortable but lacked the shoulder support I was needing---if you're shorter you might do fine with the mid-back versions. As I started researching the options available, I settled on this one (The Siento) or the Gesture, the only other chair offered as a high-back. The gesture has a lot more adjustability than the Siento, particularly when it comes to the arm rests. The one major con, in my opinion, was the headrest was one of those that kind of sticks out on the top. I've used this style before and am not a particularly big fan as I think it makes it more difficult to properly recline and get comfortable, but this tradeoff of adjustability versus comfort might run the other way for people considering this chair. I picked the high back version in black, which tends to sell (at least on amazon) for several hundred dollars cheaper than white or brown. It also matches my black desk, and the colors in the rest of my room very well so I had no problem splurging on it when I finally saw it with a discount. Given that I liked the style, the premium materials (real leather--it smells like a brand new car when you first unbox it), and could live without the adjustability of the Gesture, I went with this chair and I'm incredibly happy with the purchase. I recognize that the price is a bit of a splurge for many, but I think of it more as an investment in my long-term back health. Surely, the price of this chair now will help me save on chiropractor visits down the road, plus it's worth it to me to stay comfortable when I spend 8, 10, 12-hour days primarily sitting in my office chair.
