I hesitated to give this desk chair five stars because they're so darn expensive (especially when I bought one a few years ago for almost half the price! I guess we'll just have to blame that on inflation). Having said that, I bought this second one for a family member just because I enjoyed the one I have so much. I met this chair for the first time at work, and it was comfort at first sit. Comes fully assembled right out of the box, so no risk of setting it up wrong. Is of durable material. Looks very stylish and elegant. And most important of all, it is truly the king/queen of desk chairs when it comes to ergonomics! It has multiple adjustments for optimum personal preference and support. (Granted, so long as your office continues to be down here on Earth, gravity will still kick in and prompt your body to get up for a break, but you get the idea here. For people who use it for long hours, it isn’t comfortable at all, which is contrary to what’s told out there. Indeed, if you really have severe issues in your back (i.e you don’t even feel your back anymore lol) this might work for you. Not for the average person. Went with Aeron, way happier!

My work bought me one of these chairs for work. I finally decided I had to bite the bullet and buy me one for the house. It's a truly phenomenal chair. And it's steelcase - it'll last forever. I have some 25 year old steelcase chairs that are still rolling around and quite wonderful. The reason I got THIS one is that my right wrist needs the support of the arm. I'm disappointed that SC doesn't have covers for them. I found one from a 3rd party that fits "okay." This is the worst chair for $1,200 that I think you can buy. The up and down do not work. The renewed chair is like an old one. No support from seller. Bad chair.

Likes: sturdy, I didn't feel like I was falling out of the chair or it fall out from under me. Great adjust-ability. Dislike: Longer arm rests with lock position. On my part I wish I had ordered one with a headrest. This onus is on me. Overall, I would recommend this chair for anyone.
