They got these new chair at work about a year ago. They are much sturdier and more adjustable than any other work chair I have ever seen. The high price is the only reason I do not give 5 stars. I usually buy a new Office chair at Sam's Club or some other office supply store every few years. But they are always wood based with screws to attach the chair, arms, etc. eventually they ALWAYS crack or the pneumatics fail, etc. But this chair is of complete solid metal and dense plastics. They are mostly 1 major structure with varied arms that you can order as desired. But they are guaranteed for life. Although they are somewhat expensive, they are of very high quality and worth the expense if you can afford it and need a dependable quality and long lasting chair. Look around, I did for a long time and chose this great chair. Also more options are available at the Steelcase site. But if you are ok with the base colors and feature like this one, then Amazon is the cheaper route. Consider optional rollers for your specific floor. But order separate from Amazon. Also DO NOT be fooled by some cheaper offers on the internet. They leave off the arms too lower the price and lure you in. ... show more

This is a really comfy chair especially at this price point. The fine tuning tools for back support and arm support are easy to use and tweak to the best setting for the user. Its only con is the seat cushion is not designed for "24 hour" or intensive use. Using this longer then 8 hours or so it will start to hurt unless supplemented with an additional cushion. ... show more

    • You won't miss the headrest

I do not personally own this chair, but this is the chair they ordered for me at work. I've been using it for about a year now, and at first I was leery about the lack of a headrest. I'm used to having a headrest to allow myself the opportunity to let my neck relax. Once I got the ergonomics dialed in (a simple process, despite how many degrees of configuration this chair has) I now feel completely weightless in this chair. That's a feat for someone of my size and weight. My head and neck are in such a perfectly neutral position that I don't miss having a headrest, even on the days that I've worked for 14, 16, or even 20 hours to crunch for major projects. I cannot recommend this chair enough. It may not be a mesh back, but the cushions and fabric breathe so well I don't have any issues with overheating. I have a $600 chair at home, and it's good, but it's nowhere near how comfortable this chair is. ... show more
