So it does still smoke a bit but it is definitely less than a regular fire pit once it actually gets going. The smoke level does also depend on the type of wood you use. Overall we are very happy with our purchase and we can’t wait to continue using it! We also plan on getting some sort of wood round to place on top when not in use to double as a table/cover. For a smokeless fire pit, it smokes quite a bit. Have to get a roaring fire for the smoke to diminish. Comes with a tote that seems a bit useless. Would be more beneficial if it had a hard topper to use instead.

If you are looking for a good sized portable fire pit, this one is the best! It uses wood pellets and they work well! I had to use a fire starter but once it got going the heat from it is sufficient.
