    • Solid, Simple, Great Deal for the money, but...
I like this pot. It's simple to use: you plug it in, put water in the kettle, then press the lever. There are no frills: no temperature settings (it always boils then stops), no warning beep (well, there is a subtle click). The pot interior seems to be only stainless steel EXCEPT for a little silicone cap over an interior steam venting tube. I wish the silicone weren't necessary, but I can tolerate it. I wish the kettle settled onto the base a little more easily and solidly. I've used similar pots that settle right in and seat solidly. This one takes a little "fishing around" at times--not bad, just not as slick as those with multiple concentric circles in their contacts. So, there are little design improvements I could wish for, but it's an excellent pot for the money that does exactly what it advertises. ... show more

I love that it heats up well. Is very classy look g and small so doesn't take up much space. What I dislike is that the goose neck is so low so you have a spill if you don't pick it up strong unlike some of the others. It gets nice and hot and times itself once water is boiled which is pretty dope. No major complaints. I like it a lot. ... show more

This heats the water up very quickly and the water is definitely boiling. It works perfect for pour over systems as the water comes out gently. I like the little light on the bottom of the handle too, just kind of cute!

I’ve had this about 6-months. It did get some odd looking residue in the beginning (there’s a pic of it on one of the other reviews). Whatever it cleared up on it’s own not too long after it showed up. This really heats up/boils 10 - 12 ozs of water fast. It’s a good value for the price.

Rust turns a fine little kettle to unusable junk. Contacted Stariver and sent pictures, awaiting response. It works ok, but there’s now rust inside on the bottom, around the rim and on the “food grade stainless lid” - spoiler, it’s not. Outside of that it’s a little slow to heat cold water compared to another Amazon brand kettle I had, but that one wasn’t a gooseneck. Until it rusted. I do a pour over with my coffee every morning and heated water for baby bottles. Will look for another. ... show more
