These stick-up lights are just as advertised. They are small, round, white, and fairly bright considering they are LED. As long as you don't keep them on for long periods of time, they should last for a relatively long time. Inserting the batteries and attaching the lights is easy; there is no assembly required. I have had mine in several previously dark spaces in my home for several weeks now and the difference is well worth the price.     • Excellent Puck Lights for Power Outages

I bought these for power outages, as general lighting. I wanted specifically the soft-white, and the capability to switch to warm white -- more yellowish and easier on the eyes. I hadn't read the instructions all that closely, so at first thought they didn't change color modes and weren't what I ordered. No; reading the instructions again, not to mention the Amazon description page!... I realized it takes TWO short pushes to the center to change modes. I did that, and Wah-Lah! it worked perfectly. These are nicely bright lights. They say 100 lumens, which actually is decent. If you're out camping and want some sort of wide-area bright light, this is NOT what you want. These are indoor, area lights. As they say; for closets, bathrooms, hallways, bedroom nights and so forth. Or, in my case, power outages. I don't intend to stick them to anything; just use them on countertops. For people saying the sticky pad doesn't hold, I can tell you that none of these kinds of sticky-pad lights hold. There's a better solution. I bought some of that EZLifeGo clear, double-sided nano-tape, and THAT stuff is incredible! I wanted a non-permanent way to mount an under-cabinet battery light (a different one). This tape sticks extremely well, AND it's not difficult to remove. You have to be careful on fake veneer things like cheap kitchen cabinets, but if you rub with your thumb, it comes off nicely. I tried just the tape, but it wouldn't hold the light upside down, hanging. So I bought some Velcro dots, like people use for sewing things (craft sections). First, I put the nano-tape where I wanted the light. Then I stuck the soft felt side to the back of the light, and the "loop" side to the nano tape. That works brilliantly! You can use as many of the Velcro buttons as you want, so even fairly heavy items work. And having Velcro, it's much easier to take off to replace batteries, then stick back up. All in all, I'm very happy with these little puck lights. I'd thought of getting USB rechargeable, but realized that "AA" batteries are entirely reliable. They can sit until the power goes out and still be charged. USB is pretty reliable, but if the charge dies during the outage, you're out of luck unless you have a portable power bank. So alkaline batteries are better. If they don't last days and days, so what? The batteries are cheap enough to keep many of them on hand. Just remember to tap TWO times, in quick succession to change the color mode. The back is also a bit problematic. It sits flush with the outer rim of the light, and has 3 little tabs that slide into three little slots. The surface of the back has some raised "treads" so you have some friction/traction when turning the back to open or close. However, to securely close the back you have to turn it (clockwise) far enough to hear a soft "click." I had a hard time with that, even with the traction grooves. For me; I used a small screwdriver to carefully push the back around that last tiny bit. It can be done with thumb pressure, but be aware -- it only is locked close after you hear the little "click." ... show more

These light picks take 3 AA batteries each that are not included. Three light spectrum settings and infinite dimming settings that are easy to adjust. Single button does it all including turns it on/off. Seems durable, versatile and looks good. Worth 2- 3 buck each. Hopefully they don't drain batteries while off... Gave 4 stars due to lack of batteries, but still a good value. ... show more

    • Be careful where you stick these things!
So, these are perfect for what I need them for. I put one in my shower (out of the way of the water spray), one on the underside of an overhead cabinet, and two in some shelves in my kitchen. Couple things to note before buying: 1) It will STICK I live in an apartment so this freaked me out initially. It has replacement adhesives and it’ll stick wherever but getting it off is a whole event. Highly recommend AGAINST using these on walls. Don’t use it anywhere with paint or staining. I had to move the light under the cabinet so I yanked it off fine, but the adhesive stayed. It’s like a sticky foam disc. I gave up my first attempt trying to get it off and today I finally tackled it again. TIPS FOR REMOVAL: Take the thickest bits off as much as you can. I used a sponge, steel wool, a bathroom scrub (strong plastic bristles), and goo gone. Please note that goo gone doesn’t go well with some surfaces. I soaked the adhesive in goo gone and - wearing gloves and a mask - took turns with each scrubber to get it off. Take your time, spray more goo gone when needed, and eventually it’ll come off. You could probably also use a razor blade but that wasn’t going to work for me since my cabinet is some kind of wood. 2) It’s about as bright as a nightlight. It works best in small areas. Bright enough to see what you’re doing with all other lights off, but not much more. 3) Highly recommend getting rechargeable batteries with these. If you use them frequently they will drain the batteries like “whoa”. I bought rechargeable batteries myself and it’s great - whenever one of them starts to dim I know I gotta charge them and it doesn’t take long at all. So overall, very content with this purchase. I also think replacing the batteries is very easy. You just turn the light and pop it off. It has three little hooks and holes to lock into place when putting the batteries back. ... show more

    • Sucks battery life quickly

These lights were disappointing for me. They do work, but they eat up battery power very quickly. The brightness starts off okay, but they get dim fast, and you’ll find yourself constantly replacing batteries just to keep them usable. Because of that, the functionality just isn’t there long term. The build itself feels lightweight and easy to install, and there wasn’t any strong smell, but the battery drain really takes away from the value. You’ll likely end up wasting more money on batteries than the lights are worth. ... show more
