I've been using this Stanley FATMAX tape measure for a little over a year now, and it's easily one of the best tape measures I've owned. As a handyman, it gets used almost every single day, and it's held up great. The extra-wide blade makes the markings much easier to read, and the standout distance is excellent. It stays rigid much longer before bending over, which makes measuring by yourself a lot easier. The lock works well, the case has held up to daily use, and it's become one of those tools I always make sure I know where it is. If I had one suggestion, it would be to offer a version that's a little lighter, but that's a very minor complaint. Overall, this is a durable, accurate, and dependable tape measure that I'd definitely buy again. Highly recommended.

A welcomed extraordinary tool, this Stanley FATMAX Tape Measure is highly preferable with its obvious solid build, its grip comfort, and its rigidity to hold form when extending the tape measure for great distance. Most of all, unique this tape measure is with is high visibility - its offering a large font for ease of reading (not necessitating need for reader-glasses when working with it). I ordered the 25-Foot (33-725), and the retraction works nicely as well as the locking mechanism. Hopefully the manufacturer/seller evaluates the product's reviews here as they would highly benefit from different packaging for the tape measure. Customers almost need work gloves to open the tape measure's plastic packaging molded around the tape measure due to risk of injury (as if sharp glass, the thick resistant hard plastic molded around the tape measure). The molded plastic packaging around the tape measure was unnecessarily overkill. It's extremely atypical and far from "frustration free packaging." I would be surprised if they experience a claim-free/complaint-free run from customers with its packaging as it's clear to anticipate its causing injury (including its being molded so tightly in and round the tape measure clip). Overall, it's a very nice tape measure which I just rec'd today, and I think it's going to be a fine tape measure for the long-haul.

Every wonder what a perfect tape measure is? I think I found it in this Fatmax, it stays sturdy when pulled out and the large width gives it stability. The numbers and markings are clear and easy to read. For the cost, it's a fantastic buy.

Best tape measure on the market. I own 3 of these. Spend the money and don’t buy any other. The width of the tape is a great size and it can actually go around 10 feet out without snapping. The lines and numbers are easy to read and the lock works great. Also I like the color yellow making it easy to find when I don’t remember where I placed it lol.

This is a quality tape measure that does the job well. I'm remodeling in preparation for selling the house, and have been using this many times per day for weeks. I like it much better than the tape it replaced for two reasons: The metric markings are incredibly useful for precision work that does not require mental gymnastics converting 32nds of an inch, and the wider blade cantilevers out much further without support. I just finished using it to order cabinet doors and drawer fronts, which required high precision, and it worked great. Why just four stars? Two reasons. First, there is no reason they could not have printed additional measurement marks on the back like some rules do. This is a premium rule, at a premium price, so they had the budget, and other Stanley models have these markings on the back, usually rotated to make it easy to measure height or distance down from the ceiling. Second, my previous rule had a precisely calibrated case, exactly 2.5 inches long, which allowed me to jam the case into a corner and get an accurate measurement. This case is not marked, and it does not have the square back end required to use it that way. If I had noticed that before purchasing, I might have purchased another model. Virtually every tape measure I have ever seen, including many Stanley models, has these markings on the case!

It’s a fat max I have used plenty of them super sturdy tape doesn’t twist when pushing against the wall, they stretch more then a cheap tape and there isn’t all the fractions written in tape
