I deducted one star, since there were no assembly instructions, and I found it somewhat challenging to assemble. After it was assembled, I would give it five stars, as it truly is helpful. If you have any weakness in your hands, you might need someone to assemble it for you I found several of the pieces difficult to place together, and ended up slightly pinching one of my hands when forcing one tube end into another tube. There are some white, plastic inserts on the ends of four tubes. I could not get the pieces together until I removed the plastic inserts with a pliers. I wish there was a statement to remove those, as it took me some time to realize the tubes would not fit together until after the plastic inserts were removed. I think they are to protect the ends from getting crushed during shipping. In addition, having some removable labels, for example, "A" "A", "B" "B", "C" "C"..., would have made this easier to assemble.

When I saw this cane I thought it might be more cumbersome than it is helpful and useful but I will be 100% honest with you I have not had the surgery yet but I will be but before I do this is real it relieves some of my discomfort as I'm walking around in my house I do have a rollator but a rollator is so big and huge and and just I would like something to be a little bit easier and a cane that helps my balance and stability is absolutely perfect and unnecessary. I am very happy with the selection it's very sturdy it's not going to fall apart it's not going to break it's it's got a little pocket on it so if you're carrying a couple little items that's great I like that when I go to stand up that it's really helpful for me to stand up from the sofa or or from the commode. It also helps me as I'm sitting down as well so it seems like that little two two and a half inch span of standing to sitting that causes the most disturbance with me but having this specific type of cane is helping to relieve some of that discomfort. thank you for taking a moment with me as soon as I have someone to hold a camera for me I will get some pictures of me using it and setting up maybe do like a quick video of sitting up cuz I don't see that, I was really hoping somebody would have a video on here so that would be my goal is to have a video for everybody that might want to understand how this works cuz I know I did. I'm adventurous and I'm in a lot of pain so if something says it can help me and it seems logical I will try it anything to not feel discomfort. So thank you for taking a moment I hope you found this review helpful pre-surgery, and of course look forward cuz I will be placing a video in here, and let me know if this video was helpful for you.

This is a big help — when I was using this in earnest I had a mattress that was on the floor and it was hell trying to get out of it every day. The multiple horizontal bars on this meant that it was easy for me to get up from the mattress in steps. First low… then when I’d gotten to the edge and gotten a foothold, I would go to the higher bar. Love that it also doubles as a cane. It gets a little awkward when you use it like that but for the most part works out pretty solidly. I didn’t need to use it for that purpose but it was good to know that I could if I needed it.

An absolute must after abdominal surgery. I kept it next to my bed and used it to pull myself forward when I couldn’t rely on my stomach muscles at all. The pocket turned out to be way more useful than I expected. I kept my phone and remote in it overnight. I even ran my phone charger through one of the velcro strips so I always knew where it was. I would absolutely buy this again.

This standing support cane is a really clever design and very well made. The assembly is quick and very easy. It’s super strong and provides great stability for my 260# body. It has great adjustability for your height and is easy to do. However, it’s a bit on the heavy side, so for me, it’s not a cane to walk with because it’s a little cumbersome to use in that way. I’m using it at areas around our house where I have to stand for periods of time, like the bathroom, kitchen, laundry room, watering the garden, etc. It’s working great for standing assistance, so I give it two thumbs up.

I am so happy to have this. I’m able bodied and only 57, but every once in a while, my back goes out, and when it does, it’s a doozy! Previously I’ve used a step ladder for a cane/walker to get around, but this works much better. Assembly and height adjustment are easy. The padded handle is comfortable to hold, and the feet are padded for quietness and floor protection. Seems like it’s built to last. Very sturdy. I have some upcoming surgery pending, and I know this will come in handy.

My mom is 77 and has trouble sitting and getting up. She was using my disabled father's quad cane, where the handle is at the top, so it wasn't ideal. I jumped on this as soon as I saw it. She can grab onto the middle metal bar to help her get up and then the top bar to help her get stabilized before moving. She's also been using it when she sits down. The pouch is a nice addition. She keeps the remote control in there, her phone, her charging cable, and a pen and pad of paper in there so she can keep her stuff close to her. We were looking at grab bars that bolt into the floor, but we really didn't want to do that. The fact that this is portable allows her to use this in any area of the house where she'll be sitting. I highly recommend!
