When I first bought my Blackstone, I was very excited. Then I started to realize that keeping up with the cast-iron cooktop is a complete nightmare. It rusts very easily. Needs constant maintenance to bring it back to its original luster I have to spend a ridiculous amount of money on products to bring it back to original condition. I also have to burn up an entire tank of gas to do it. I did this for a few years and finally, I had enough. I had this stainless steel cooktop in my shopping cart for a while now and then finally bit the bullet and bought it. And I’ve only had it for a short time, but it is cleaner, nicer, and it appears that it will require hardly any maintenance. The little bit of maintenance that it will require is nothing compared to the original cast-iron. If you’re looking for a nice clean cooktop, I recommend purchasing this item. I have a 36 inch Blackstone that required no drilling or any positioning for the mounting holes. Now I’m excited to start using my black (sliver) stone again. (Pictures of before and after) Who would want to accept food on the old griddle top?

I don’t leave a lot of reviews, but I was kind of blown away by this. I had been searching for a direct replacement for 6 months or more and could only find one online listing, but they didn’t make it for the 36” griddle, and their biggest one they made was over $300. So, who knows what they would have charged for the 36”. I finally ran across this and figured I would try it. Only one review, no pics and just star rated. Well, if you are looking for stainless steel top, you would be hard pressed to find a better one. The adjustable feet were a big plus. Most concrete patios are sloped. So, I was able to fine tune it. I did use two pieces of my sons legos on one side, under the wheels, because the slope was too much and would have caused a significant difference in the gap from the flame from the left side to the right side. The legos made it to where the adjustments were minor. The lid fit perfectly and the wind guards fit better IMO. The V channels on the bottom seem to be an upgrade but I’m no scientist or physicist. So, I don’t know if it causes a better heat dissipation, but hey it looks better lol. I haven’t cooked on it yet, so that’s still to be determined. I’ll try to update once I do. I put a bunch of pics. First couple pics are of my original top and how it rusted. I took really good care of it and kept it covered and it still rusted. I also, got a grill rescue brush and when I would use it to clean while the griddle was hot, the seasoned layer would peel off. This should not happen with the SS top.

I have a Blackstone 36inch model 1899. The holes on the Blackstone do not line up with the new griddle top. As others have said I will have to drill in order for it to fit properly. The new griddle top looks really nice and appears heavy duty. I can’t give 5 stars for something that doesn’t fit right for the amount it cost.

This is a game changer. I am at a loss for WHY these are not included from the original manufacturer, other than $$$ and I would have gladly paid more money for a model that included a stainless cooking surface. As others have mentioned, the unit did NOT fit out of the box and required a little tweaaking, otherwise I would have rated this a full 5 stars.

For people on the fence about it, just go for it. It is a little pricey but how often are you battling the rust, how many times have you reseasond if you live in a humid area like i do I think it's money well spent. Packaging was very well done. I've used it a couple times first day already, bacon,sautéed onions also the delicious smash burgers. Worked excellent. Clean-up just as easy as could be, used a little hot water and grill cleaning scaper followed up with paper towl, easy. Very well built and with the provided hardware was able to level the griddle top even though I was on slightly un level patio, easy also. In my opinion so far a great product!

All I can say is WOW! This stainless blackstone replacement top went above and beyond my expectations for the price. It fit perfectly with no modifications. All I had to do was drop it on, level it, clean it, then give it a proper seasoning with grapeseed oil. After a few rounds of seasoning, this top has the perfect cook surface. Heating was nice and even, as the picture shows, with no warping. This is how Blackstone should have made this grill, rust proof, and grease trough at the back to manage drippings properly. What an amazing upgrade!
