This tool worked well made quick work of decompressing caliper pistons. It can be tricky to use at first as it does not ratchet without pressure in both sides but once you get the hang of it, it works perfect. So far it was durable and a good value for the money.

Works very well and easy to use. I have used it on two different cars and I works great. It is very durable and works very well. Great value for the money. I wish I had this years ago. It is much faster and easier than using a c-clamp.

Just changed front and back pads on my Ram 1500. I love this tool. No more using a C- clamp. It is a little hard to get it to ratchet until you figure out how to use it, but once you do, it makes life so much easier. I struggled with how to hold it and get it just right to go in the caliper with enough tension on it to make it ratchet. I ended up leaving the bottom bolt in and tilting the caliper back and using both caliper hangers to hold the caliper. That allowed me to use both hands to hold the tool and get the perfect width for the caliper. Then I was able to just ratchet the piston open. Very easy to ratchet it, so be careful not to go too quickly. Love this tool, and wish I had bought it sooner.

First and foremost I cannot speak to the longevity of this tool, but if you're in a pinch, the price of this tool was about 1/5 of buying a new caliper. I thought my piston was seized on my sonata, as it twisted the normal c-clamp I used for my pistons. But after a little trial and error this tool came in clutch and made it a breeze to either unseize or just have better leverage to push the piston back in. All in all this tool saved me 80$ and a bunch of headache replacing the caliper and having to bleed the brake lines. Much more heavy duty than it looks in the pics. I was pleasantly surprised by the tool and the caliper hangers.

at first it was good but overtime the threads start cross threading and basically useless at that point. so i guess for DYI is good but for daily use not really

Wanted a cheap / easy way to spread some bulky brake calipers as I only do brake jobs on my own vehicles. Always used a big C-clamp, but this was not going to work for this brake job. This Brake Caliper Tool Spreader worked just fine. Took a few minutes to figure it out. I think most of the negative posts are because they did not "unscrew" the two adjusters equally. If only one size is expanded, the other will likely not allow it to open fully.

I wanted one of these caliper ratchets for so long and I needed to do a complete brake and rotor change on my wife’s car! Only one side adjusted the other side is connected to the ratchet handle, when I went to ratchet the solid side raised up and wouldn’t compress the piston. Very frustrating and disappointing. Update, For some reason it was extremely tight on one side, that is why it would not work properly. After getting it unstuck it worked perfectly fine. I now changed it to 4 stars.
