I really like the Smonet camera systemd as it is pretty much plug and play. I have an 8 camera system that I couldn't expand so purchased an additional 4 camera system thats expandable to 8. Mount your cameras, provide power and turn on the NVR and it's up and running. Port forward the port (default is 34567) through your router and you can get to it from anywhere in the world by your wan IP address. I turn off alarms and record 7/24 and get about 2.5 weeks of record time. App is not great but let's you do the basics and is easy to configure. Their tech support is pretty good and responds promptly.

The video quality is good. Audio is one way, would have been nice to have two way audio. Not hard to install, only if you have a low roof, getting power to the camera involves a crawl in the attic which can be tough.

The NVR was cracked. The cameras and NVR appeared to be used. This was the THIRD Smonet camera system that arrived damaged/used. THREE strikes and you're out Smonet.
