Very happy with the machine and it performs well. My bad for not having taken a before picture of this little bench. It was lightly stained all over the pale fabric. Not any more. Looks great and salvaged my little bench also leaving a clean scent from the solution. Suction is more than adequate and the compact design made it easy to use. Only disappointment was finding parts missing, hence the 4 stars. I will go through Bissel as advised in the manual to get the parts. I have my cars' upholstery to tackle next and I'm confident it will do a great job. UPDATE: Today I was notified by Bissell that the part I thought was missing was not intended to be included for this model but are sending it to me anyway. I searched for steam cleaner and this came up, so my misunderstanding when I purchased. Since primary reason to get was to steam kill gardia parasites from new puppy it didn’t achieve the goal. Seemed to really clean rugs well though, and I saved a rug I thought I’d throw away, so it paid for itself and I kept it. If puppy doesn’t test clear I will get a real steamer since cost is same as prescription, and seems wise to kill the little parasites before he keeps getting reinfected and I keep having to get new prescriptions. The vacuum is great at spot cleaning and removing stains from carpets, however the dirty valve leaks when in use and in removal for dumping. Gross. My box was missing a tool, and was rather hard to clean the brush. I can see the value of this if you are cleaning up after a child who isn't potty trained or an ill loved one as getting most of an area clean even with a little leakage is better than nothing. However as someone who bought to clean a specific mess and won't need it again very quickly the vacuum doesn't seem worth the price with these faults. ... show more

Really don't understand all of the good reviews. I bought this to try and clean my couch which had no stains on it, just wanted to do a refresh. This product ended up leaving light color stains all over my couch and it was not easy to use. By the end I was so tired and my arms hurt from cleaning and then discovered all the stains.
