  • Honest review from a muscle mom
Color: Red / Black Style: BK Cable Crossover Power Cage
I give this product 5 stars for the following pros/ cons. I will start by saying I’m a 5’8 and 155lb muscle mom, my husband is 6’4 and 200lbs. I will use us both for reference. Please do you research before you buy. I add my list here of things to hopefully help give more information from someone who’s used it Daily for 5 months now. PROS 1. Squat rack options work great for me but it is a tight area inside so if your bigger you will need to squat outside the cage on the front. 2. Great for bench press 3. Very sturdy structure, has minimal giggle or movement when I load my weights on to the side storage rack. If you move them from there it probably wouldn’t be as sturdy. We had put it together in one spot and I decided to move it, let’s just say it wasn’t easy and took two people (still hard to move). 4. The instructions were great and easy to follow, it was easy to assemble in about 5 hours with 1 person doing it all themselves. 5. Land mine works great. I love using it for good mornings, RdL, rows, kneeling presses, pushups ect 6. Pulley system works best with HEAVY weight (70lb: plus) anything less is met with no eccentric control or resistance. CONS: 1. Cable system is really only good with heavy weight. -hard to do small isolating muscle exercises (triceps, biceps, glutes ect.) ****** I purchased some exercise bands that cover 10,20,30,40,50 lbs that I can’t do with this cable system. -The system seems to have a lot of resistance on the eccentric movement (the release of the exercise). - the pulley connection where the cable with your attachment comes out is awkward when you have it in the elevated position (lat pull down specifically I have to sit criss cross ). I am 5’8 and when I kneel on the ground I’m too tall for full range of motion with lat pull downs. - seated row: the foot plate makes no sense cause it’s way to close to the cage, you can’t keep that tension you want to in the position. But if I use a bench seated I can get a decent row. I ended up removing the foot plate. - RDL & hip abduction/ addiction: not going to happen with the cable system. The resistance gets met with all parts of the workouts. - Pulls ups: works for us if we both bend our knees. - the security bridge in the middle is SO hard to move to a new level, I’m not sure if it’s just me but I’ve smashed my finger way too many times. It’s hard to get them both lined up in the same hole. TIP: I kept about 2 feet from the wall, and about 1.5 feet measure wall to bottom back leg, just so I had space to move behind and load the weights Overall I love this and I would buy it again! Just get a bench to go with it! ... show more

  • Solid Item
Color: Red / Black Style: BK Cable Crossover Power Cage
I had built a homemade power rack during COVID, but over the years felt like I ought to upgrade. After some research and review-reading, I settled on this bad boy. The item came in three boxes, two of which were around 80lbs, and the third about 50lbs. Boxes A, B, and C (the last being the smallest). The instructions are in Box C. There were about 100 item types (i.e. nuts being one, bolts being one, etc), and around 200 individual items. I was missing one single washer, but that's it. One of the vertical support beams had a dent in it that makes it a little tough to move the adjustable pulley, but it's not too serious. The entire build took me about 5 hours, working by myself. I had already bought a set of interlocking floor mats, which made my concrete floor a lot more comfortable to work on. The instructions being written by a non-English-first-language person meant that there were a few slightly unclear points. The most important of those is that on the vertical beams, THE NUMBERS GO ON THE OUTSIDE. The instruction booklet diagram was also unclear on this point. I guessed, and guessed wrong, so I had to take about an hour and redo the verticals, one by one. It wasn't too bad, just a little tedious. The cable system also wasn't too intuitive, but with a little guess work and flipping pages back and forth I figured it out. Once completely set up, I did some test dips and pull ups. The machine felt pretty sturdy with the exception of one of the dip bar handles. I did maybe 20 dips and it shook slightly. Nothing scary, but I'll keep my eye on it. I did some test exercises with the pulley system and it felt good too. Everything stayed nice and tight. To set up, you'll need both wrenches, the little hex key, plus a rubber mallet- and a 11/16 ratchet will make things way easier. The trickiest part was the pull up bar- I had to balance it on my shoulders a bit and oh-so-carefelly install the nut/bolt/washer setup, one by one. Overall, seems like a solid device and a good purchase. If things change I'll report back. 👍 Maximums: Depth: 5ft 2in Width: 4ft 11in Height: 6ft 10in Weight: ~200lbs ... show more

Works great, super well built and stable. Had a small knob that was busted in shipping, sent the customer service team a picture and a replacement piece has already been sent out!

  • Worth every penny. Love it.
Color: Red / Black Style: BK Cable Crossover Power Cage
I normally don't write reviews but this cage deserves one. We bought this cage for our home as a family Christmas gift. It was delivered very fast and I could not wait to assemble it. I am a female nurse in the 50's and I was still able to put it together by myself. The instructions were very clear, all you had to do was to open the package of screw/bolts that correlated with each page of the assembly guide and follow the detailed, ilustraded instructions. The assembly guide also tells you where to find the parts ( it came in 3 boxes each one labeled). The cage is very sturdy, solid and well made. The delivery people kinda threw the boxes around which damaged the cover of the corner of metal base and one other part. This company have one of the best costumer service, they responded prontly to my email and sent me a new replacement right away along with a missing bolt. Interestingly enough our cousin (who only buys top of the line products) just bought a cage from another company, and let me tell you, our cage feels more sturdy, and is more spacious in the inner part , than the one our cousin bought. I highly recommend this cage. I am using it about 3-4 times a week and I love it. ... show more
