They are described as heavy duty and robust, making them ideal for a variety of tasks. However, several reviewers noted issues with the organization of the tool case, stating that the smaller sockets tend to fall out when the case is opened.

Worth the buy

I wanted a primary tool set to keep at home, separate from my everyday carry set. I’ve always been a fan of DeWalt products, so I decided to give this one a try. For the type of work I do, this set has everything I need and then some. The case holds everything securely in place, the tools are well organized, and everything is easy to access when you need it. Overall, it’s a solid, well-put-together set. If you’re looking for a dependable tool set for around the house, you really can’t go wrong with this one.

Most every hand tool I need for my mobile service business except pliars. A bit heavy and I probably do not need 3 different sizes of ratchet, but if you have ever had to return because you forgot a tool you understand. Parts stay in the case very well. Easy to keep track of all items. I would buy again, but hope not to need to.

It’s good and pretty complete

**Review: DEWALT Mechanic Tool Set, 247-Piece, 1/4 in., 3/8 in. and 1/2 in. Drive, SAE, Ratchets, Sockets, Hex Keys, Combination Wrenches, Polish Chrome Finish** As a professional carpenter, I rely heavily on a wide range of tools for various tasks. The DEWALT Mechanic Tool Set, with its 247 pieces, has proven to be an invaluable addition to my toolkit. **Cons:** 1. **Tool Retention:** The primary drawback is that the tools tend to get loosened and fall from their place in the case. This can be frustrating, especially when transporting the set or moving it around the job site. A more secure grip or retention system would significantly enhance the overall experience. Despite the minor issue with tool retention, the DEWALT Mechanic Tool Set, 247-Piece, is an outstanding choice for anyone in need of a comprehensive and durable tool set. Its high-quality construction, versatility, and ergonomic design make it a valuable asset for professional carpenters and DIY enthusiasts alike. I highly recommend this set, with the hope that future iterations will improve the grip and retention of the tools in the case.

<DEWALT 247PC SET> A DeWalt set that will last (not impact rated)
Style: 247 pc
Pattern Name: Tool Set
First of all, thanks DeWalt/Amazon for moving the impact drivers and power drills out of this grouping on Amazon so that it is not as confusing. All of the reviews now that mention the drills, however, are now not worth anything so the reviews are not off. Oh well. This DeWalt tool set seems to be well built, with quality pieces, unlike the Allen Wrench socket set that I had previously whose case fell apart and is currently being held together with duct tape. CONS: -The toolset is pretty heavy, but a general rule of thumb is that quality and weight usually run harmoniously with each-other, so this is not a big deal. -It does not have the attachment adapter for a drill or impact driver for the largest sockets, but it does come with an adaptor for the smaller two sizes. -They are not impact rated, but I think that they will hold up for a battery-powered impact driver (I use a Greenworks 24V impact driver, I will include a link for my review of this product from Amazon.) PROS: -It has a very good, solid, well-built case that should last a lot longer than our Allen Wrench socket set, whose case fell apart. The case is made with a premium composite plastic material that looks and feels durable. -The hinges and latches are well made and should last a long time. -All of the tools are made professionally and nothing seems like it was poorly engineered. -All of the sockets, wrenches, and ratchets are well built. -lifetime guarantee with free replacement which is a perk. Time will tell and I will update my review if something goes wrong, but these products work very well and I am not ashamed to have them in my toolbox. The Pros outweighted the Cons and the only way that I would not recommend this would be if you work repeatedly with high-powered air-powered impact guns. I would highly recommend this toolset to anyone who needs a solid set of wrenches and sockets for their garage or shop. Please like my review if it was helpful. Thanks! link from Amazon for 24V Greenworks Impact Driver which I use and think is a great bargain: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/review/R3E2K3RMA7NTSD?ref_=glimp_1rv_cl

Yellow case looks cool, tools are nice but latches are meh
Style: 247 pc
Pattern Name: Tool Set
Yes I got this for my dorm because our campus shop charges wild prices for any basic tool 😂. The set itself is good. Tons of sockets and bits so my roommate and I fixed my wobbly bed and tightened her bike in one night. The ratchets feel solid and I like the polished look. Case is chunky though. Fits under my bed but barely. What annoys me is the latches. They close, but they feel kinda cheap and I have to double check them or stuff shifts when I carry it down t
