I have a couple sonoff wifi usb plugs that work so I ordered a couple more of them but the 2 new ones would not connect to wifi and the setup was a REAL PAIN. I found these devices so I decided to go ahead and give them a try. These are way better! I only have one so can't attest to setting up multiple. The great thing about these is that they don't need their own app and can easily be added to the smart life app which all my other smart plugs are in. So far it is working great for the USB LED lights in my 3D printer enclosure.

I was looking for a small usb plug that would work with Alexa to put on my nightstand light and these work perfectly! Small enough to not block the second USB slot and work to automatically turn the light on each night to prevent us from having to walk into a dark room. I can also ask Alexa to turn the light off so I have a lighted path to our bed! These are just great!

I set up a solar panel and use this to turn on and off a water pump for a fountain. I have a box that it sits in along with a battery and solar controller. All of it, including this Splenssy USB Smart Adapter sits in the box all year round, including a freezing snowy winter. In the fall I ran Halloween decorations on it and in the winter time, I ran LED Christmas lights off it until spring rolled around for the water fountain. It has been one full year and I haven't had an issue. Set up was really easy. You press and hold a button and the Tuya app detects it. Then you have to connect it to Alexa and set up a schedule. Admittedly, that was a bit confusing, but that's an Amazon Alexa thing and not the fault of this product or Tuya. My only complaint, is that the male USB plug is flush against the block. USB ports are typically designed to have cables plugged in to them, not big blocks like this one. If you already have a cable plugged in beside the USB port you want to plug this in to, it just won't be possible. This necessitates the purchase of a short USB extension cable.

DO NOT BUY THOSE OTHER "SMART" USB OUTLETS!!! Some reviews said they had no trouble connecting to the app, but MY (Motorola Edge) phone had issues with their app. It would take over my wi-fi as I was supposed to look for and select the USB outlet's "name" in the wi-fi available options. The instructions said that once the selected USB outlet (name) had found and connected with my wi-fi network, it would ask me to close that window which would go back to the app as it would be a "found" and working item. IT NEVER RELEASED MY WI-FI! So I basically threw those "never smart" USB outlets away and got THESE and THEY WORKED PERFECTLY ON THE FIRST TRY!!! I mean, that's what I expect so I shouldn't have been shocked but considering I spent literally HOURS trying to get those others to work - I removed their app, reinstalled it, I checked the internet for solutions, went over the instructions over and over and over and never even got CLOSE to getting them discovered by their app and working. This pair gives you the option to go with Smart Life app - I love this particular app as it runs without a glitch and holds several smart items through wi-fi and also makes them Alexa available so that I can ask Alexa to turn on lights and whatnot. Now that I have a pair of smart USB outlets, I can ask those items to turn on and off through Alexa and that is what I love to do - the only thing I found that's odd is some USB plug items do not work as on/off with this smart plug. I mean, if I use a regular style smart plug (y'know the 3-prong type), I can at least have that on/off availability for any plugged item through Alexa. Why some USB plug items apparently don't "acknowledge" the smart USB outlet? I dont know, but they work and that part is fine for the price.
