I tested multiple phone mounts for my '23 Model Y before settling on the Spigen TapLock MagSafe mount. I was trying to avoid an adhesive mount, if possible, which this doesn't have and tightens to the screen corner securely without obstructing the screen. The MagSafe allows you to easily mount/dismount your phone instantly. The mount can be lowered if you need to install a sunscreen and then raised to mount your phone. Only negative is that if a phone isn't mounted and it's in the raised position, there will be a slight rattle. This can be addressed by either mounting your phone and the additional weight stops any rattling or just lower it. ... show more

Works great in my 2025 Tesla Model Y with an iPhone 15 Pro Max (in a case). I’ve only had it for a short time and have tried it mainly during city driving so far, but it feels very secure. I don’t have any concerns about using it on the freeway and expect it to hold up just fine. One of the main reasons I bought this is because Full Self-Driving has gotten really good recently, especially with the 14.2.1 update. At this point, it handles about 99% of my driving. It still can’t park in my garage and can sometimes struggle to pick the most convenient parking spot in lots or garages, but aside from those minor things, it reliably gets me everywhere. Since Tesla still doesn’t allow watching videos like YouTube on the center screen while in motion, this holder is a great workaround. It elevates my phone so I can keep my eyes up, supervise driving, and have a video playing off to the side. It’s working so well that I’m already planning to buy another one to try in my 2025 Tesla Model 3. I might even grab a few more so passengers can have one too 😄. Looking forward to using this on my next long road trip. I’ll update this review if anything changes, but so far I’m very happy with it. ... show more

It has been hard finding things for the new MYLR 26’ (Juniper) I’ve always used the ones with the adhesive and never had an issue as I don’t take it off until trade in. This one actually grips amazingly but like it says if you have a screen protector just don’t tighten it as much. It’ll bubble around the screen protector where it grips. It looks good, but the magnet is weak and the phone holder is very creaky when driving. Know that your phone will be falling into your knee frequently. Update: Spigen reached out and sent a replacement saying I must have received a faulty holder. New one does not creak but still drops the phones on the floor or my knee regularly. Not a good product. Cover pad on the holder that houses the magnet also started deteriorating and scratching my Spigen phone case. Replaced the cover with another Spigen cover and got a new holder from another company that holds the phone securely in place.. ... show more

This seems to be a new product from Spigen. I had been searching around for a mag phone mount for my Tesla Y last year and didn't see this one from them. I bought a different mount from another company and the arm joint slowly lost its ability to hold my phone. I spent some time looking for a new one and settled on this one from Spigen. Overall, the quality of the mount looks solid. The magnet seems strong and holds the phone just fine. I really like the installation of the mount onto the Tesla screen. It uses a tightening pad that holds onto the back of the screen. I can easily take it on and off whenever I want. The part that wraps around and mounts on the screen is the full vertical and horizontal length of the holder, which seems to distribute the pressure against the screen better than my older mount. The older one used about only 2/3 of the full edge lengths. Also, no stick on pads. I don't want that glue residue. The arm also seems to be a lot better made. It only locks into 3 different positions. That seems to be a better approach because my previous mount had a free-moving swivel arm and over time that hinge lost its strength. The Spigen's mount seems to a lot more fault tolerant. About a week into using it and happy overall. ... show more
