    • Good mount, but use better tape
We coupled this with a MFi Certified 20W car charger. We have been using this one for a couple months: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08TWSDWXV Using that, the iPhone 13 Pro Max can keep up with maps, music, and texting with Siri, and still get a good charge. The Apple Magsafe adapter stays stuck to the phone like a champ, but the weight seems to be a bit much for the adhesive tape sent with the mount. To their credit, they give you a second sticky pad, but the Pro Max is a hefty phone. You might want to seek out something stronger. I'm giving some 3M VHB pads a go. All in all, this was totally worth it. The vent grip seems quite sturdy, and it fits the charger like a glove. Until 3rd party MagSafe certified car chargers come out, this will be the best kind of solution for full speed Quick-Charge in a car mount. ... show more

Only caveat would be that, depending on your air vents, the mount+Phone may be too heavy and cause your air vent to rotate downward. You may not be able to direct the air vent where you want after it is installed. My car has a small ledge that the mount can rest on, so the whole assembly is very solid in place, and still allows me to direct air side to side. ... show more

    • Pay Attention to How Your Vents Are Oriented
I have other Spigen products and am usually very pleased with the quality and value of their iPhone accessories. I drive a Subaru Ascent and the vent louvers run up and down (not horizontally). This means that the mount does not stay in place as securely as it does on horizontal louvers. The mount tends to slide down the length of the louver when it must support the full weight of my phone. My husband has a Toyota Highlander with horizontal vent louvers so it works beautifully in his car. I like the strength of the mag safe connection (especially when compared to other mag safe accessories I have tried) and the mount is very easy to install so if you have horizontal vent louvers then this is a great choice. If you have a different configuration of vent louvers, this might not work as well for you. ... show more

    • Works great for my iPhone 12 Pro Max in MagSafe phone case
This is probably one of the best wireless high speed car chargers I’ve used. Yes you’re using apple MagSafe charger and sticking it inside this mount. You will need 2 other things for this mount to work perfectly. You will need a strong MagSafe case on your phone that has magnets in your phone case. And you will need to purchase a 20 watt cigarette charger to use high speed charging. That’s why this mount is so cheap because you have to spend money on the other things I’ve mentioned. With that said it’s the strongest hold of all wireless mounts I’ve ever used. My phone has never fallen off the mount no matter how many bumpy streets I’ve driven down. ... show more

    • Can’t take the charger out of the hokder
Somehow I thought this was a car charger/phone holder, but no, you have to install your MagSafe charger into it to use as a magnet to hold your phone in place while the holder is clipped to your A/C vent. The charger cable just hangs there uselessly. This product should include the magnet. Secondly, once you put your charger in the holder, taking it out is a beast. It’s safer to just leave them together than risk damaging the charger, so I have to bring the whole thing home to use the charger, then remember to take it with me when I go out. What a pain. Other than these two issues, the product does exactly what it should even though it seems flimsy: it holds the phone in place and allows the driver to position the phone for easy viewing. I eventually replaced this gadget with a Belkin full size MagSafe holder so I could free up my charger to use at home. I don’t recommend this product due to the difficulty of removing the charger from the holder. ... show more

    • Fits snug depending on your cars vents
It’s the best way to get the Apple full speed MagSafe charging if you have an Apple MagSafe charger laying around. Many claim to have full speed charging but I think the new $100 Belkin car charger is the only certified one on the market. So this is an inexpensive alternative that’s just as good.

The phone magnetizes to the MagSafe charger, but the MagSafe charger is held in place by a double sided sticker. So, basically, the charger and phone are being held in place by a sticker. Not a good design, not recommended
