These are fine. My kids call it “magnetic putty.” The magnets are not very strong, so you can’t make it form the way you think you should.

This putty is great as a fidget toy and/or stress reliever. All I need to do is smush some around in my hand and I already feel the stress start to melt away. I also love the indigo color. I know some people complain about how the magnet strength isn’t so strong, but this doesn’t bother me—the pieces stay together enough for you to play with them as putty. Only thing is, you have to be really careful if you have pets or young kids, as the pieces can easily get lost and could be dangerous if swallowed. ... show more

They look great and they certainly let me fidget and it's not too noisy. Yes I can drop some outside the container because I can be absent minded but I will always find the pieces because they are magnetic. Definitely not for kids. I'm sorry, but these are strange. My daughter-in-law had me buy these for my grandchildren ages 4, 7 and 11. What a mess these will make. They are tiny. They come in a tiny tin. I've read on here the magnets don't work that well, but I bought them because they were on a list she sends me. I think these will be disastrous for a 4 and 7 year old. But at least I'm not the one having to clean them and worrying about vacuuming them up. Look for another sensory hand toy. I don't recommend these. When they opened the, they didn't even know what they were. I bought the smallest tin and for $15 - $17, they are pricey. ... show more
