I bought this tripod because I needed something that could reach a good height without being overly expensive, and it has exceeded my expectations. It’s surprisingly sturdy for its size, and the fact that I can turn one of the legs into a monopod has already been a lifesaver for outdoor shooting. What I love about it: The height: It extends high enough to get shots I couldn't reach with my old, shorter tripod. The ball head: It moves smoothly and makes framing shots (whether for photo or video) really easy. The flexibility: Having the option to use it as a full tripod, a monopod, or even an alpenstock for hiking is fantastic. Just the Tripod I Needed

I’m absolutely thrilled with this tripod! It is a bit heavier than I thought and that is good since I have dogs around a lot. It came fully assembled with the exception of the plate you need to attach to your camera. Everything was easy to adjust and when tightened feels really secure. I like that I can use my telephoto lens and it doesn’t slouch over or sag. It has extra accessories for use with a cell phone or as a mono tripod and comes with a nice carrying bag. It collapses easily and stores in the bag perfectly. I like the good amount of height adjustments you can make and for those who do macro photography you can reverse the tripod to accommodate that as well. Overall a really good, solid tripod IMO.

Perfect mid-range tripod

I've been using this tripod for about nine months now and it's great. I do videography using my phone so I don't need something that can hold a lot of weight. I like everything about this tripod. The leg action is great, as is the head. I haven't used the monopod, but it's nice to know I could. I especially like the height. I never really need more. It is sturdy and solid and after nine months I don't have a single complaint!

Happy with the purchase - a good value. Use it with my heavy spotting scope and it is a huge improvement over a camera tripod. It takes some practice. The horizontal rotation adjustment and dial lock seems a little cheap quality, but the knob attached to the rotating ball and socket is solid and this is pretty much all you need for adjustment. For occasional household use, this is all you need. I don’t think it would be sturdy enough for heavy outdoor use, but for the price it’s a good value.

I had two tripods before this one— both looked great but were broken within a couple months of use. This one is incredible! It’s very study, heavy duty, but not heavy, weight wise. The ways it adjusts and its versatility are seriously amazing. I’m super happy I got this product and already have sent the link to friends as a referral because they are looking for trusted tripods. My wife is an influencer and I am a business owner/influencer, so we make videos ALL THE TIME, and this is by far the best one I’ve found thus far. 100% recommend.

I purchased this in order to create a Solar binocular set up for the 2024 eclipse. My intent was to use this, and then recoup some of my cost by selling it. Once I started putzing with this, I was impressed by the overall solid construction. The angle for the legs can be adjusted via set click settings. once you get past the fairly easy learning curve of how they work, they’re easy to set up. Similarly, raising and lowering the height of the central mass is also quite easy. The rotating top made setting angles for the binoculars, exceptionally easy. It also made the occasional readjustment (to follow the sun overtime) was easy to accomplish with this. If I did not have a monopod already, the detachable third-leg monopod would’ve been a great feature. That said, if I will separately need both of monopod and tripod on the same trip – it’s nice to have it all as one unit. A friend of mine, just entering the professional level of photography, took a look at it and said for its base price, it’s not a bad deal. For me, I was able to catch it during a flash sale discount, which definitely made it a solid buy for the money. In the end, I decided to keep this unit instead of selling it off. For both binocular and photographic use, this is going to be a nice addition to my equipment collection… particularly with its versatility to be able to set up a camera very close to the ground by reversing the center mast.

Solid and built to last
This is easily the best tripod I've ever owned. The construction is so solid that I don't worry about the lifespan of the product. I love the fact that the ball head rotates in all directions, allowing landscape and portrait orientations with minimal trouble. Some have complained that the mechanism for loosening and telescoping the legs isn't convenient, but I always find the "snap" style ends up pinching my fingers when I'm opening and closing them, so I love this. Positives: - Sturdy workmanship. All screws and - Independent ball-head mechanism for complete flexibility - Legs fold 180 degrees, allowing the tripod to be as short as possible for travel and transport - Quick-release plate works well - Center column reversible for macro photography, if your subject is near the ground Negatives - Weight. If you're looking for carbon fiber, this isn't it. But you'll spend $300 to get that, so I'm ok with it. Might not be for a smaller or weaker person if weight is an issue Unknown - I haven't used it as a monopod, and probably won't. I haven't really explored that, and have a dedicated monopod, should I want one. I can say that I recommend this completely, and look forward to many years using it. *Update 10/28/2021* While visiting Niagra Falls, I laid the tripod (folded up) against a fence while I took some pictures nearby, and it grew legs. Well, it already had legs, but you know what I mean. I was crestfallen. When I got home, I went to Amazon thinking I might upgrade to a more expensive tripod, but when push came to shove, this guy was too good to pass up. I bought it again, and look forward to (if I can take good care of it) using it for many years to come.
