I bought this kit hoping for a simple upgrade, but the fitment wasn’t great on my 2016 Lincoln MKT. I ended up having to trim and adjust pieces to get it installed properly, which was frustrating since it’s supposed to be a direct fit. Once I finally got it on, the intake itself performs fine—there’s a noticeable improvement in airflow and a nice sound when accelerating. Build quality is decent for the price, but the install was definitely not as straightforward as advertised. Not sure how I found this intake, but I cant believe how lucky was to find it. could not be more factory the fit and look is great. on my 2016 Explorer sport. not sure if it added any HP but it looks fast and I will take it. Amazon had it for 40.00 cheaper what a plus. My first real modification and I am very happy. ... show more

    • Easy installation-Good looking-Small Gains
I bought this for a 2015 Explorer with the 3.5 ecoboost.This is basically a cold air intake kit with half the work(instead of replacing the air filter and pipe behind the intake which doesn’t help anything you just have to replace the air filter box)and quite a bit cheaper as well. Installation was simple enough that I didn’t have to use instructions.One problem I see in the design is that the air box and little shiny pipe you see are both metal..Plastic deflects heat much better then metal and after alittle test drive both the metal box and pipe were warm/hot..Not great for turbo boost. Very minor sound change. Slight turbo sound but not worth buying to increase your turbo sound.A-little more snap when the turbos spool up. All in all I love how it looks under the hood and knowing that it can breathe now is worth it for me! ... show more
