I was hoping I could take the tassel and cat off (I'm a dog person) I didn't see in the reviews whether I could or couldn't. I was glad to see when it arrived that I could. This is a darling purse. The handle is easy and comfortable to hold. It has room for everything I always carried in a fairly large tote style handbag. It is a nice back. Nice colour, size and space. After a few months, the glue-like black edging of the straps started peeling off. In less than a year, the bag strap broke, tearing where stitched to the bag.
