Now, I was slightly sceptical of this product, especially for the price and size. I'm on Social Security Disability, and can't afford much, so the price was just as attractive as the design. I had another product somewhat similar to this in size and it was horrible, and broke within a year, just last month. Though this little heater just arrived a few days ago. I pulled it out of the box, and the instruction booklet was very clear and well written, but there were several warnings about how to treat it carefully, as if it was fragile and could crumble like mud. Therefore, I was concerned about the quality. I held in my hands, and felt the quality of the materials. It was light, but extremely solid. It didn't make noise when I shook it. The textures and design were remarkably lovely. Pictures really don't do it justice. I was impressed so far. The electrical cord was long, sturdy, high quality, but odd looking. It was in great condition, with no frays or looseness anywhere. It just had a strange appearance, one that I've never seen in an electrical cable before. It actually felt good in the hands. I'm not an electrician, so I couldn't tell you what it was, but I could tell the quality was very high. The room was quite cold, but not freezing, in the early evening in a southern California December. I plugged it in carefully, and turned it on slowly. The regular fan blows nicely and quietly. Power Level 1. I started at the bottom of the thermostat dial, and slowly worked my way up. I felt a gentle heat warming up almost immediately. There were no sparks of light being seen, so that pleased me. As I continued to increase the power, things got toasty right away. The bedroom, mind you, not the device. I kept it set on Power Level 1, and about 1/3rd of the way on the thermostat for a while just to test it out and see what a little power could do for a few hours. The temperature rose gently and after only a few minutes it was really comfortable in my room. I didnt hear any sound, so I thought it shut down, as it has a safety feature that shuts it down if it gets too hot. I walked over to it, saw the light on, and still felt it blowing a gentle warm breeze. As I exited my bedroom, I noticed the difference in the coldness of the hallway and bathroom. When reentering my room a few minutes later, I really noticed the difference of how warm the room had become! It was just right, like Goldilocks. As I went to sleep, I kept it on low, the face of it pointing towards the door. It was so quiet. I have sweating issues, so I always keep a fan on to circulate the air, even at night, right on my face (This can't make you sick. Only viruses make you sick). I turned the fan off, and I could only hear a soft gentle "voooom" coming from it, almost like the purr of a cat. I don't like any lights in the room at night either, but some still shine, like the little standby light on the TV, other lights from a few multi-plug extension cords, etc. I was expecting the light on this one to be like the last crappy heater that was almost as bright as a flashlight on the battery's last few minutes of power, just enough to clearly see the door in a red hue. But, no! The light was so small and dim, I saw no shining from its direction. It was actually the dimmest light in the room. NICE! (Borat) Today, I was out shopping, so I kept it off. When I returned, the room was cold. I put a few things away, then I turned it on to Power Level 1, put the thermostat about a tad more than half way. Then I exited the room to put the groceries away, which were already in the kitchen. I reentered the room no more than 2 or 3 minutes later with my Pizza Hut dinner, and YOW, it was toasty-mosty in here! Holy schnikes, Tommy Boy! It wasnt hot, but just a perfect warm temperature, about 80 degrees. I was really stunned how quick it got warm. As I stayed in the room as I ate, the shock of the extra heat faded, and it just felt so nice and cozy in the room. It delivered exactly as advertised, even on low power and medium thermostat. I haven't tested how hot it can get, but I don't need to. It does what I wanted it to do. A great little heater for a great little price. I'm on Social Security Disability and it didn't even get close to putting a dent in the bank. Thoroughly satisfied, impressed and pleased with this purchase. I will update in a few months to report any changes, and also if it ever breaks and when. Get this little gem of a heater. It's well worth it. You'll enjoy it as much as I do!     • Fantastic with some minor nitpicks

This heats up a small space super fast. I turn it on after snoozing my first alarm and the room is warm enough to get up a few minutes later. Controls are easy to use. Surprisingly compact little unit. I like how simple and unobtrusive it looks, I just want a space heater that gets the job done and not one that tries to compete with my decor. Minor cons that don't actually bother me enough to drop a star: - There isn't a setting that lets it automatically turn on when the power is on. This is probably for safety, which makes sense. Just means you can't run it on an outlet timer, which I was hoping to do to preheat my room right before my morning alarm. Not actually a big deal because it heats my room so fast that I can just turn it on when I need it. - The fan doesn't stop running when I press the power button. This is not a big deal because the tipover shutoff works so well that I can just tip it for a second to turn it off. But it was annoying the first few times. ... show more

I use this tiny guy at work in chilly fire houses. It warms up quickly and keeps the bunk room from getting too cold. I have not been using it that long, but no problems thus far and no durability issues with me popping it in my trunk to lug from one station to another. The heater is very small but is very powerful. The fan seems to push much more air than any other heater I have owned which adds to its ability to heat up a space quickly. I purchased two of these heaters for my garage. For my purposes these heaters are a fantastic value. The only negative thing I have to say is that the thermostat on the heater does not regulate room temperature properly. I have tested them in a small space and they never turn off. If you bump the thermostat dial ever so slightly to a cooler setting they turn off. The temperature span on the thermostat is too wide at any particular setting to use this heater unattended for long periods of time in small spaces. I would never use this heater in an infant’s or young child's room as you would risk overheating them ( literally cooking them) if the heater failed to turn off while say a baby sitter, family member, etc decided to turn the heater on shut their bedroom door and assume the heater would maintain a constant room temperature. Excellent product for the proper application. For small home spaces spend a little bit more money and purchase a heater a more accurate thermostat. ... show more

    • This is a small, but very STRONG, little space heater.

I've been using this little space heater off and on for the last couple of months, and have found that it not only generates a lot of heat very quickly, but that it didn't raise my electric bill as much as I had thought it might. I DID find, however, that when it was set at the higher voltage setting (along with running a humidifier in the same room), that it tripped my fuses for that room, and I had to reset those fuses. But in all honesty, I really didn't need the higher voltage setting, 'cuz at the lower setting it puts out a LOT of heat. Perfect heater for desktop! Generates a great amount of heat with a powerful fan. Like the title says, small but mighty. For the price you can not go wrong! I suppose you could put under your desk and it would work just as well. Either way very pleased with this heater.

I needed an extra heat source for my parrot during the two days of Texas winter. Her cage sits between 2 windows, so it’s hard to keep her warm enough. This little heater packs a powerful punch and kept that entire room toasty and warm. I’m very happy I found it.

For a limited or small space, this unit works fine. It's not really a huge heat producer, but more like a concentrated projector. I use it under my desk for my feet or at my couch for focused heat directed at my body. I would buy it again.
