I bought these heaters to integrate with my home automation setup. Since I use smart plugs, I wanted something that wouldn’t overload them or require manual interaction to start heating when power is applied. Some Lasko models tend to spike in wattage when cycling on and off, but these handled that perfectly with no issues at all. They’re rated at 1,000W, which keeps them safely within the limits of my plugs. The safety switch works reliably, the color looks great on a shelf, and best of all, when I turn the switch on, the heater powers up automatically with my smart plug. I now have two of them, one in my office and one in my bedroom, both programmed to run just long enough to reach the temperature set in my smart home system. They heat up quickly for their size and, contrary to what some reviewers claim, I find them to be pleasantly quiet.
