Planted All Seed and All Seeds Germinated
Planting lemon grass seeds turned out to be a delightful and rewarding experience! Germination and Early Growth: From the moment I planted the lemon grass seeds, I was impressed by their vigor. All the seeds germinated within just one week, a clear indicator of their quality and viability. I planted them in a pot indoors and maintained a consistent watering routine by misting the soil daily. This approach ensured the soil stayed evenly moist without becoming waterlogged. Lighting and Conditions: Positioning the pot in front of a window with partial sunlight proved to be an excellent choice. The delicate balance of light helped the seedlings thrive without the risk of scorching or inadequate light. The young sprouts appeared healthy and vibrant, a testament to the importance of proper lighting conditions. Transplanting and Continued Care: About two weeks after the sprouts emerged, I transplanted them into individual planters. This step was crucial for providing each plant with ample space to grow. I continued to monitor the soil moisture closely, ensuring it remained consistently moist. The plants responded well to this care regimen, and within a few weeks, I had robust lemon grass butts about 2 inches tall. Key Insights for Success: Soil Moisture: Keeping the soil consistently moist is vital for healthy growth. Misting the soil daily worked well during the initial stages. Temperature: Maintaining moderate temperatures, neither too hot nor too cold, is crucial. Lemon grass thrives in stable, warm environments. Sunlight: Adequate sunlight is essential, but partial sunlight works perfectly to avoid overexposure. TL;DR My experience with planting lemon grass seeds was overwhelmingly positive. The seeds demonstrated excellent germination rates and robust early growth. By paying close attention to soil moisture, temperature, and sunlight, I was able to cultivate healthy and thriving lemon grass plants. This journey has not only provided me with fresh lemon grass but also a deeper appreciation for the care and attention these plants require. Highly recommended for anyone looking to add a touch of freshness to their home garden!

Yay, they have sprouted
I germinated these inside on a paper towel and spritz of water. After day five I had tiny little sprouts her and there. After day eight I moved them to a soil pot and they are growing well. They smell like lemon already. I barely used them but I have plenty left over to plant at least three more pots of lemongrass.

OK, low germination rate but some seeds do sprout
I was able to get some seeds to germinate by placing them in a closed container in a warm area. Some of the seedlings died when I opened the container, I hope to save the remaining few. I live in the desert, so the dry area is a problem.

Quality Seed
At first I wasn't sure these seeds would sprout as they are packaged with some organic debris (from the mother plants?) They are packaged differently than the Lemon Grass seeds I usually purchase from another company at twice the cost. That company first places only the seed into a plastic vial and then places the vial into the seed envelope. Fortunately, the way the seed is packaged has made no difference. This morning I awoke to my first seedling sprouts! The germination rate is quite adequate so far. Not all the seeds have germinated yet, but I only started them under lights 4 days ago without a heat mat. I am very satisfied with my purchase so far and look forward to enjoying lemon grass plants again this year and purchasing more seeds from this company in the future.
