  • Easy to use and adds an extra layer of protection. I definitely recommend!
These are easy to put together. Just know that the rubber part at the bottom is moveable so it will be flat on your floor. I believe they offer another “layer” of security. I have hardwood floors so I simply cut a small square of rubber shelf liner and it stops it from sliding. I have one on each door in my home. ... show more

  • Doesn't work!
It immediately broke, while positioning it on the door, the head that holds the knob snapped off. This would not stop an intruder under any circumstances, maybe a good practical joke at best. Not a huge deal, but it was also a day late.

  • Doesn't work on linoleum
Purchased this for additional protection for our front entrance. Product was delivered on time. Unfortunately, my wife was busy that day and set the box aside in the garage. When we remembered it, she opened the box and tested the product. She was able to properly place the product, walk out the back door and around to the front, and push the door open as if nothing were there. After trying a couple of different adjustments and having no more success, we decided to return the product SINCE IT DOESN'T DO WHAT IT SAYS IT DOES. Unfortunately, the 30 day return timeframe had passed and so I am stuck with a piece of junk that I can't return. If you have linoleum floors, I do NOT recommend this product. ... show more

  • A win for home security!
The media could not be loaded. Let me start by saying this security bar is definitely worth consideration. The purpose of purchasing this is to add an extra level of protection to your home and give you a better chance at protecting you, your loved ones, and property. The security bar comes in a nice box with simple instructions. To set it up, you push the button at the bottom, rotate the bar, slide up until you reach the right length, and lock in place. Once the right length has been found, you simply lodge against the door and you are good to go. I want to note a few things: - This security bar is not the be-all end-all of added security. When lodged up against the door, this is not meant to stop a linebacker or police from coming into your front door. The purpose is to deter potential burglars and provide you another layer to security in alerting you of a possible break-in. Presuming thieves want to break into your home quietly, it is not easy to do so as seen in the video. Additionally, any noise that is made would alert you and give you added time to prepare to run or defend yourself. - That being said, you must lodge the security bar against the door at an angle for the best results in my observation. To make this more effective, I push in the rubber stopper at the bottom, which creates more resistance when trying to open the door. - The security bar can be used to lock a sliding balcony door or patio door, you simply adjust the length and it works the same. Overall, I really enjoy this and will buy again when the time comes. ... show more

  • No matter how I adjusted the height or the foot ...
No matter how I adjusted the height or the foot plate, I could shove the door open because the foot plate slipped on the tile or concrete floor. I couldn't do this with the 25 year old rods that I was "updating." Didn't try on carpet, which might be less slippery. Returned.

  • One Star
Does not work on wood floors

  • Strong and Easy to Install
I ordered the security bar to use with our sliding glass door. It did not come with instructions, but I was easily able to figure it out and install it. The top piece that goes under a door handle comes off for use with a sliding glass door, so the bar lays flat and is not visible. The length of the bar is adjustable, just slide to the desired length and secure with the pin (see second photo). I'm very happy with my purchase and feel safer with the security bar in place. Great price too. I recommend it. ... show more

  • If placed correctly - it can buy you time to get your weapon.
Works great on carpet or bare synthetic wood flooring. But you must be sure the pole is straight. Precisely straight - not crooked at all. I kick the bottom of it to be certain it is really pushing AGAINST the door knob. Had a couple people try to enter while the bar was engaged and I feel it held well. I did NOT desire full on force against the door due to door coming apart, door frame, etc. and NO kicking of door. Both of the bars I have purchased continue to do very well! Along with the Flip Guards to stop any lock picking of the dead bolts. (helpful - Now with that awful tiktok junk showing punks kicking at front doors - stupid is as stupid does. ) Be safe. ... show more
