I have some old recording equipment that I wanted to put together to resurrect some very old cassette recordings and then move forward. This rack brought all my equipment together and gave me both a way t protect it and transport it. I moved a few things around, putting the computer shelf at the top which caused the mixer to extend down in the top of the front using up 1U. It came with 2 1U blanks which I used nicely. It all worked out well and this is also setup for PA use. I'm extremely happy with this rack. Update: I've seen several questions about what fits this rack so I wanted to add a couple images of the way I now have it configured. I now use the Behringer X1832USB mixer and I wanted to have a couple rack units placed where I could easily see and operate them so I did away with the included platform. The rack units have to go at the top or they extend down into the usable space in the bottom. I still have room for another amp and drawer in the bottom if I take it out for live work and one more unit in the top. I currently use this for recording in house so the computer, digital interface and larger monitor sits on a folding table.

I just spent a lot of money on other equipment and needed a quick rack to store my gear on the cheap. For the people leaving poor reviews and saying for the price they expected better quality. I would say these racks are super inexpensive compared to other brands. What I can say so far as I just recieved it is: it came perfectly intact. The build for the price seems quite good. What I expect from cases I have owned in the past with the same type if outer paneling, do not leave it in the hot sun. It will probably warp. We'll see how it fairs with use. My equipment is heavy and this case will see a fair share of beating. I didn't have any dents or missing hardware when it arrived like mentioned in 1 star ratings. It came perfect and well packed. The caster wheels seem sturdy. Not trying to talk down on the brand, however, like mentioned above- the price point is low. My low point so far, is the rachet seems a bit flimsy. I can see it possibly failing. So I hope this case last me for a bit until I can afford more expensive brands. But, I haven't even taken it out once yet. Maybe I will be pleasantly surprised and it will last for several years. So far I like it and it looks good. I will update my review after some use.

Heavy Duty.....is a stretch. Good box for the price but is not made to be abused. Thin wood and too little support with covers off. No rack rails for rear mounting either.

I was a little nervous after reading some of the other reviews, but figured if it didn't work out, Amazon has a great return policy. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I was almost able to give it a 5 star rating. First off, it has sturdy construction and the casters are heavy duty. My only mark off is because one of the mounting holes was not threaded. The piece that was installed in that position was light, so I opted to go with just three mounting screws. I could have used a small bolt as an alternative. The side table option is useful. The table fits into some brackets on the side of the case. There is no locking mechanism for these side brackets. I was concerned that the table might get bumped and our side equipment would fall on the floor. So I bolted a small piece of wood over top of the brackets to secure the table connector from coming loose. Overall, very happy. A big improvement. And the top shelf was perfect for our Behringer X32 producer mixer. I am not able to fit the top cover on, but I don't care.

Within seconds of opening this road case from the shipping package I was instantly able to identify several issues. Some issues were potentially caused by shipping, and some were most definitely quality issues. 1. (Pictured) Large dent in case lid (Most likely from shipping) 2. (Pictured) 4 missing rivets in case lid (quality issue. This was not caused from shipping. The rivets were never placed, and the overall lid assembly was a complete fail.) 3. (Pictured) All fasteners and washers were completely scattered throughout the floor of the road case. As you can see in the images the packaging was clearly torn open, which makes it hard to believe it came open from shipping. There is just no explanation for this. 4. (Not pictured) The pin hole for the side table in the leg extension did not align with the support tube. This made the pin completely pointless without drilling a completely new hole. Without a new whole I question the structural integrity of the table itself. (Quality Issue) 5. (Not Pictured) The tab and slot design for the table is not convenient. Assembling the side table is nothing short of a hassle. The butterfly latch that holds the front panel (doubles as side table) interferes with the assembly if its not in the most perfect position. Pair this issue with the pin hole issue and it almost makes the side table pointless. I was really looking forward to utilizing this feature (hence why I spent extra money to have it) and now I will probably never end up using it. Overall this road case will still be usable. The overall issues are very disheartening considering the price I paid. The overall quality and shipping damage made me regret this purchase. However I will still use this road case as my band needs one ASAP. If I had more time I would pursue a refund and a refund.
