I have bought 5 clock radios this year, from cheap to very expensive. None of my previous purchases have been an icon for truth in advertising, that is to say, they didn't work as advertised. If they had good sound, the clock didn't work. If the clock worked, is the radio sounded like crap. All had unacceptable shortcomings. I was about to give up on the idea of buying a decent clock radio when I decided to try the Soundfreaq Sound Rise II. I can happily that it works exactly as advertised. The sound quality is pretty good for a speaker of that size. The clock is perfectly reliable and the alarm offer several choices of wake up sounds. The bluetooth connected instantly to my phone and has been completely dependable, every time. The unit has a number of bells and whistles. (Sleep timer, nature sounds, USB charging, large display screen with dimmable settings, and more). Unlike other radios the set up is relatively easy and the instructions are better than any others that I have used. I consider this radio an excellent product, particularly in comparison the all the other radios that recently purchased and returned. I have found no equal even in the $200 models. Update: After using this clock radio for several weeks I can enthusiastically say this is a great radio. It does everything well, it's easy to operate, sounds good, all with good operating instructions. You can't beat it.

It says in the manual and online that you are able to make it so you can wake up to your own Bluetooth songs and audio. I have an up to date IPhone and I used YouTube music, Spotify, Apple Music and other ways to see if it would start playing. After about 5 seconds, it disconnects the Bluetooth, and goes back to the annoying beeping. For the amount of money spent on this, it’s just a speaker that tells time.

Clock function works as expected and the large display figures as bright or dim as you choose. Sound is just okay, nothing special, pretty much the same as a $29.99 clock radio.

I like a lot about this clock radio. Especially how you can go to sleep listening to Bluetooth at low volume (on a timer) and then have the radio wake you up at max volume. But there is where the problem is. Max volume is just not load enough (my hearing is normal BTW). Even my antiquated Sony Dream Machine that I was trying to replace with this is louder than this. I am probably going to have to return it for this reason.

I have tried eight other clock radios on Amazon and others and they have all been junk with poor sound quality and other issues. This one is fantastic with great sound. Good size adjustable brightness display. Bluetooth and auxiliary in Presets for the radio, which has a.m. and FM and knobs for volume and tuning! Built-in power back up good for a week! The sound is terrific. Does even a sleep timer and nature noises that can help you go to sleep. Three cheers for the designers of this product and the quality in the production. I bought a second one for my living room.

When playing FM, this radio has a nice range of volume from really quiet to loud enough for a bedroom. The controls, especially with the dials, are nice. Bluetooth is a completely different story. The amplifier has a high noise floor even when nothing is playing, so it is completely unacceptable in a quiet bedroom. The volume goes from 0 to 30. Below about 15, the Bluetooth audio disappears into static, and does not just get quieter. It sounds like a cheap digital volume control with a noisy analog amplifier. Compare that to the old Sound Rise which has much lower noise floor.

Does everything I need it to do. Love the fact that you can dim the clock light to your liking. Love the fact that the alarm start low and gradually increase loudness. Great clock

The button for the music option does not always work when pressed. Also the unit doesn't keep accurate time once set.
