I purchased this item about three months ago and I have very much enjoyed it. It was very easy to set up and there are so many options to listening to music, talk radio, or nature sounds, just whatever you enjoy. It offers IHeartRadio and Pandora which are free, you just need to have an account. Their paid music services are Spotify, SiriusXM, and Deezer. I signed up with Deezer because just for buying this Bose music system they offered a discount on their price. I got it for $4.99/month for 12 months (their usual price is $9.99/month). I have really enjoyed setting up my playlists and listening to Deezer on my Bose music system. Bose just recently did an update (June 2016) and added Amazon Music to their music services for Prime members. Unfortunately, you can not listen to your own Amazon Prime Playlists, but you have the options of listening to Amazon's pre-selected Prime Playlists and Amazon's Prime Stations. I hope eventually they change this so that I can listen to my own Amazon Prime playlists that I have set up. You can still listen to your Amazon Prime playlists, but you would have to do so by using Bluetooth. You can also listen to Spotify and any music on your computer or other devices by using Bluetooth, you just have to make sure your computer doesn't go into sleep mode or it will stop playing. It also has a place where you can hook up an auxillary cable and listen your Ipod or MP3 player. You can also listen to local and internet radio stations. It also has a cd player. I listen to it a lot at night, I just put in my White Noise CD and set it to repeat and it will play all night. The remote control has six presets, so you can preset your favorite playlists or radio stations. There are a couple of downsides to it. First, I think it has a little too much bass sound and the settings that it gives you are" Normal Bass" and "Reduced Bass", and honestly I can't tell that the Reduced Bass really changes it much, so I wish there were better controls for this. Also, the other downside is the price. I definitely think it cost too much, but having said that, I don't regret buying it. I think it is a great music system and I've really been enjoying it. Update: I've had this music system for over a year now and it still works and sounds great. Also, just recently Amazon Music Services added "My Music" to their services, so now you can listen to your own Amazon Playlists and not just their pre-selected playlists. There is one thing that I wish Bose would add to their Music Systems and Speakers, and that is a setting to be able to listen to all track/songs at the same volume level. It can be quite annoying when you're listening to a playlist and one track is really loud and then the next track is very low. I know that when I listen to Spotify on my laptop, they have the option to "Set the same volume for all songs". Even if you have a Spotify Premium subscription and listen to it on the Bose Music System, unfortunately that option does not carry over. I hope that one day Bose will have this option as a setting for their products. Other than that, I'm still very much enjoying the music system.

This was the best purchase I’ve ever made on Amazon. The box arrived 4 days earlier than expected, packed well in bubble wrap and peanuts. And is “like new” condition. The sound is awesome using radio, blue tooth from iphone, and from smart tv via aux cable. It took a little Google searching for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connecting, but works fantastic a couple of hours later.

LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT. I have had several Bose products over the years and have always been impressed with the quality of the sound they are able to get in such a small package. My first experience was with it in my car in 2000. I liked it. Shortly afterwards, I bought 2 of the smaller CD/Wave Radios with a convenient remite, which delivered superb sound in a small footprint. Next, not long after that, I bought 2 Lifestyle multi-speaker systems with the 4 jewel cube speakers and the big subwoofer, one for the big screen TV, and the other for music in the living room. It has probably been 15 years since I bought a Bose product, but we decided to upgrade the Wave radio that we use in the kitchen while preparing food, since I wanted to be able to access my computer music wirelessly. I received the Wave SoundTouch System a few days ago, and set it up easily after reading the quick-start instructions and downloading the Soundtouch App on my Galaxy Tablet. I am amazed at the advance in wireless technology since I bought my earlier Bose equipment. It is SO CONVENIENT to be able to access everything with my app on the tablet, even from a different room. I'm sure I will be able to access all the music on my computer - and there is a bunch, using wireless WiFi or Bluetooth. The radio/CD sits on a pedestal which makes all the wireless connections. It came with a Demo CD, which I played first. It delivered a STUNNING sound for such a small footprint, Clear, crisp, realistic, and astounding percussion and fidelity. I LOVED IT! Next, I checked my Amazon Prime free music, using the house Wi-Fi with my Galaxy tablet. There is a wealth of searchable free music available from Amazon Prime and I've been playing it all morning, from my easy chair in the living room with the tablet. I don't want Bose to read this, but it would have been worth it even if the price had been much higher. My wife is just as impressed as I am, as was my neighbor, so we are making it a joint Christmas gift to the both of us. I'm glad I bought it. It greatly improves the convenience music quality of our lives, since we both love music.

Got the Soundtouch IV at the weekend, delivered within 30 hours! Attractive and solid. Small footprint on my shelf. 1) Connected to my wifi in less than 5 minutes; easiest set-up I've ever done. Just needed the wifi password. 2) Small learning curve with the remote but then you realise it is cleverly designed. Feels nice in the hand. 3) Star rating above is really 4.75 only because I find there is quite a fluctuation in the volume depending on source: regular FM radio is pretty loud so that volume setting goes down into the 40's; internet radio needs to be in the 50's; CDs vary by CD it seems; Bluetooth good too. iPod and TV input to Aux has excellent sound output as well. (Make sure you go into your TV's own settings and raise the Headphone volume otherwise you will be disappointed!) 4) The Soundtouch app (on both my iPad and iPhone) is great. Have already mastered getting Pandora and Amazon Music on there. 5) There has been an earlier complaint about only 6 presets with this unit. I have found there are 6 presets for 'Radio' and at least another 6 presets for 'Aux/Bluetooth'. I might find there are more. 6) I like not having to turn the unit on. By which I mean you can press the Radio button or CD or Aux and it will go immediately to whatever it was providing on those buttons when you last turned the unit off. CD resumes at the spot where it was turned off; ditto with the stations for Radio and Aux. 7) Found that leaving the app open on the iPad all night (with the Soundtouch off!) that it eats up the battery. Therefore, very much like the fact that once you have chosen your desired source from the app on your phone/iPad, you can actually close the app and the Bose just continues playing your choice. 8) All in all, I am extremely pleased with this purchase - pricey though it is, the extra ability for wifi particularly is a treasure.

First of all this speaker has the best sound quality for its size. I find this product the prefect device to make breakfast next to or to entertain a small party with its ability to sound good at both a low and high volume setting. This system however has a bit of a unique method of installation where the system is connected through your wifi router with your smartphone and other devices. Although this method of installation is interesting and deviates from common bluetooth speakers it has an advantage of allowing multiple devices the ability to access the speaker and other paired speakers at the same time. Don't get me wrong this device has the ability to use bluetooth, however with the system connected to wifi theres no need to constantly connecting with bluetooth. Therefore I gave the installation 3 star rating due to its uniqueness and in some cases its issues. None the less I would say the systems versatility is top of the line once installation is complete. Sound quality is why i purchased this system and I'm happy with the results I've seen so far. This isn't my first wave radio, in fact my family has owned one for almost 25 years and I'm happy this product hasn't deviated from its roots which make it such as unique and elite speaker. A small warning for what I think is a small percentage of people out there, the system I own is the second system that was shipped to me. The first speaker i received was caught in an error where the main liquid crystal display was constantly displaying the words "PLEASE UPDATE". There was no method that anyone could give me to fix this issue and ultimately I ended up shipping it back through Amazon. The process however was simple and easy; the second speaker was shipped the same day I mailed the first one back. Although my ability to enjoy this speaker was delayed I am very pleased with this replacement process.

Love this!! I'm not a music aficionado, but even I can tell the difference in the Bose quality of sound, and this does not disappoint. I wanted a flexible sound system (i.e. something that could play radio, CD, and streamed music), that worked out of box but could grow over time and this completely fits the bill. After doing quite a bit of internet research, I went to our local Bose store and talked to the employees there - in fact, I was going to buy it there but both that store and its closest neighbor were sold out - apparently I'm not the only one that loves this product! Details: arrived quickly (thanks prime!), extremely well packaged, and with very clear set-up instructions. Got it up and running quickly, easy to use (intuitive) and sound is great. I love, love, love the flexibility of CD or streaming or radio. Now, still in the context of "I love this!" here are the relatively minor issues I've had: set up is easy but I've had to re-set the streaming function probably half a dozen times now. I have no idea why and it could be because of problems with our wireless (COMCAST!!), so this may not be related to product at all. But it does annoy me when I want to be able to turn it on and go - it's like how many times do I need to go through this set-up process?! Re: the feedback issue. I read online and I did find this to be the case that when I stream music via wireless there is feedback once you hit 60 (which is not THAT loud). I have done some experimenting and with CDs this is not a problem; my next step will be to use the aux connection and plug my phone into the system ... I did have the reaction that one reviewer mentioned - "$600 for feedback?!" but am happier now that I realize it seems to be a wireless thing. One other thing to know - apparently if you buy the connecting (wireless) speakers you can't stream wireless music from this system to the speakers - that only works if you are using the CD (and I think radio?) function. Again, not sure about the aux connection. I haven't bought any additional speakers yet, this is just what I was told by the Bose employee, but I do intend to. Overall I think you get what you pay for and am very pleased with this purchase. It's nice to have high quality sound in my house without a large footprint. Bose for life!

This beautifully refurbished Bose Wave IV arrived with speed, and every part is in terrific condition! It is truly in "nearly new" condition. There is no sound system quite like the Bose Wave radio/CD; the music is amazingly clear, and sounds like the musicians are in the room with you. Kind seller wrapped every piece with care, and even sent an extra battery (the one already in the remote did work). Most important, he enclosed a copy of the original Owner's Guide! The guide helped me SO much with SoundTouch, especially with pairing to another Bose Wave IV in a different part of the house. Highly recommend the seller, truly appreciate the outstanding Bose product, and must note seller's great communication with me, every step of the way. A+ and 5 Stars

I’m very happy with the SoundTouch IV. It has the features I wanted (radio, CD, bluetooth, WiFi) and provides rich sound easily moved to any room in the house. While initially concerned that the tone control was limited to bass normal/reduced, I found it adequate, using reduced mode for bass-heavy mixes. It’s great to be able to stream audio from my smart phone via bluetooth. I use it a lot to stream music and youtube videos. Once the connection is established, SoundTouch will reconnect automatically. I can also disconnect my Smart Phone and then connect my tablet. I use SoundTouch WiFi to access Amazon Music and TuneIn without any problem and can assign the remote’s presets to stations from both TuneIn and Amazon Music. Radio reception is good except for AM at the center of the house. WiFi reception is as good as I get with my smart phone. Installation & setup was easy except for WIFI. Having to first connect to SoundTouch’s internal Wifi is not intuitive and took several attempts after careful review of the instructions. Pressing the button on the back to enable that connection can be tricky since if you don’t get your phone/tablet connected right away, the SoundTouch will timeout and you’ll need to recognize this and push the button again. Thankfully this only needs to be done once. While pricely, I’m really enjoying the SoundTouch and would recommend it to anyone who needs its feature set.
