I was looking for something simple to fit in my book shelf. I am impressed with the sound quality. This stereo is compact and fits almost anywhere. I can use the remote when I am cooking in the kitchen. I have still not used all the features it has. Some have complained about no manual be included. It does include a quick start guide that is not terribly helpful. I simply went on line and easily found a manual, problem solved. Greetings, Good Lookers! I trust you all are doing well. I ordered this system, and had it the very next day!! I opened the very sturdy box, thinking I would I would set things up a few days later; but, I could not wait; Everything was well-packed and secure. Then I saw the instructions! YIKES! Nonetheless, I unpacked everything, and saw the instructions. Phew! They looked quite daunting; but, as I started unpacking everything -- I decided to completely ignore these complicated instructions, and just hook things up as I thought they should go...and -- Voila -- it was all hooked up and ready to rock in no time!!!! These instructions are simply a mess; but, I know you all are smart, and can hook this up in no time...I did it, so can you! The tuner and speakers seem sturdy and very well made. As for the sound -- well -- it is AMAZING! -- such powerful sounds coming out of each of these little gems (the speakers)! Clarity is amazing, and range is equally sublime! I heard the highs, the lows, and all the precious mid-range. I was amazed! I could not understand the bad reviews here. Look, I am an attorney; and a former jazz sax player, and I have loved music for all my life, Perhaps we all hear differently -- I do not know. But, I can tell you all, in my opinion these are GREAT little speakers, especially at this price-point. I can hear so many things I just could never hear with my prior speakers -- and those were NOT cheap speakers! I listen to ALL kinds of music: primarily: Classical, Jazz, and Rock-N-Roll. I have the system on my dresser, with about three-feet of separation between the speakers. The sound is phenomenal! And while I am not hip to the scene of all the new devices you kids have today-- like: Bluetooth and MP-3 Players -- I only wanted to hear my music (on CD) as it was recorded. I am very happy that I did NOT listen to the bad reviews here. These are powerful, and very loud speakers! They will fill a room easily with the precious music you want to here -- REALLY HEAR!!!!     • Easy to install and it has good sound.
Overall, the stereo is really nice for the size. We have it on a bookshelf in our Livingroom. We were not expecting to rattle the windows, just listen to music while we read or have company over. The sound quality is very good, and it can go way louder than we want when you crank the volume. I lowered the score for the instructions. They are very minimal. It took a few tries to figure out how to program the FM radio and get the program channels to lock in. CD player is easy to use and sounds great. Blue tooth took a few tries to get connected also. Now that it's up and going, we are very happy with the stereo system. ... show more

    • A Great Little System
I bought this to replace/upgrade from a couple of Sony "boomboxes" I have been using for about 10-13 years (okay, boombox is a bit of a misnomer...they are AM/FM, CD & cassette players). I tried finding a Sony replacement here and a couple of other sites, with no joy. After researching other brands and reading reviews across several sites, I decided to try out this one - I figured for the price I couldn't go horribly wrong (I also bought it listed as "Used Like New" (and saved a few extra bucks), but it seems to have never been used). I have a great Sony system in the living room, and wanted this for the bedroom. The setup was very easy, and since I only listen to one radio station the programming was a snap. I popped in a CD right away, tried out the different settings for sound, found a winner, and tried out a couple of different music genres to make sure it was a uniform sound throughout. Everything sounded great. You might need to adjust volume, though, depending on what you're playing. I'm sure that's more to do with the CD mix rather than the system itself. I then checked out the Bluetooth capabilities with both my phone and tablet. They paired easily with the system, and again everything sounds great. Then I attached my Sony Walkman MP3 player (which I haven't used in a couple of years (who wants to walk around with wired earbuds anymore?), hit "shuffle" and I was listening to the old collection stored on it again. The music sounds better than it ever did, and it always sounded pretty darn good. I haven't bothered with the alarm on it, though, since I have Alexa to annoy me into getting out of bed in the morning. All-in-all, I'd say this was an excellent investment, and would definitely recommend. ... show more
