This screen saved my camera within ONE WEEK! It is very strong, passes 99.9% of all light, no color changes or image distortions, sticks on without ANY residue, peels off if needed, and it is STRONGLY resists against small and HUGE scratches! I was carrying my RX10ii in my car and set it down on the floor in front of the front seat. I forgot the camera when at home but my wife got in the car for another trip and moved the power seat forward without seeing the camera on the floor. SURE ENOUGH...my wife powered the seat forward and scraaaaaaaatch! The seat motor stopped, she looked down, and then got mad a me of course. I grabbed the camera and could only see a 1 inch shred of plastic like someone was using a screwdriver on it. I panicked, turn on the camera and it was fine. I quickly peeled off this protective cover and the Sony screen was PERFECT! NOT A SCRATCH OR DENT! This sacrificial screen saved my camera! I quickly bought another one and for the last 3 months zero incidents but I do have the confidence that unless I do something REALLY insane, this screen will protect my camera. Oh...and I got one of those 10 dollar neoprene cases since which has been an equally good investment!

Just received this from Amazon and put it on my older Sony DSC RX100 Cybershot camera. The old one was so worn in the middle and it was so frustrating trying to see what you were taking pictures of. I use this camera alot for taking thousands of photos of my internet business items. I was so excited to receive this today so as soon as it arrived, I took the old cover off that came with the camera from Sony (used an exacto knife to life one of the corners and used tweezers to get it peeled up a bit to remove the old) and used a Zeiss cleaning lens wipe to clean the screen before applying this new protector. It went on perfectly! Followed instructions to apply the upper right hand corner first and poof, it is aligned perfect and looks brand new again! Now I am going to check one of my other Sony cameras to see if that lens also came with a protector applied, if so I am going to replace that one too! Hope this helps you, enjoy!

The material is a sturdy flexible piece of plastic with silver backed Sony logo. The Sony logo looks great. Prefectly written out and has a bit of a shine in the silver. It truly is a piece of plastic between you and your screen as they have a sticky tape behind only the black boarder of the screen. So there is nothing else but air between you, the screen protector and your screen. One star less because the glass does seem like it will collect dust behind the screen if the edge glue wears off. I bought it to fit the RX100 which hasn’t arrived yet so I can’t show you the fit. However, I did try it out on my a7iii (which I didn’t think would work but it can). It looks like it will fit the a7iii if you install it upside down. The only thing you loose out would be that the Sony logo would be upside down too. Just beware that the black border on the inside portion may also limit your screensize by an unnoticeable hair size, otherwise the size seems to fit the glass surface size. Soooooo on another note.. I purchased the warehouse version (so not new) for 17% off the new price.. If your like me and was expecting a boxeless screen protector missing all packaging material and would come with just the back piece protecting the glue surface, then boy will you be disappointed.. Because it’s 60% worse.. as it did not have the thin plastic that usually protects the sticky side. This was a used, scrapped, dusty screen protector with no protection, not even from the shipping packaging (which I wouldn’t knock as much because it’s not glass). I suppose what really got me was that they stuck it on a generic baggie and sold it at 17% off. I didn’t knock the star rating due to the warehouse issue because it is a seller issue not a product issue. Perfect for the A7ii! Installation is pretty straightforward like most of these protectors. Make sure you wipe your screen (I cleaned mine first with alcohol- then wiped it dry with another tissue) and get rid of ANY dust on the screen, the camera body, and the protector. I just used canned air for this. The protector is pretty much an exact fit. So be sure to line up the edges evenly. Put it over the screen first before removing the back adhesive so you can get an idea how this will fit. Also like the instructions say, DO NOT press on the middle of the protector right after putting it on- even to just wipe off dust or fingerprints after application. Wait about 15 minutes before you do this. It seems like the adhesive needs a little bit of time to cure before applying pressure to it. (I found this out when I lightly buffed the screen and saw the "rainbow" underneath. Luckily it wasn't too bad and it went away in about 10 seconds!) One bonus that I have found with these screen protectors is that if you have a light scratch already, they will often disappear once the protector is applied. My guess is the adhesive probably fills it in.
